Hahaha, beef welly police, I like it...!!!!

Since Saturday, I have been finding things tough. Not so much the dietting, I have managed to stick to that, in the main. It's all the usual things - Parents unhappy, work busy with no support, being completely thrown in at the deep end while the Boss is on leave, unhappy friends needing support, and it was my friend's mum's funeral, I was a witness to a car crash on tuesday so had to speak to police and stuff, plus I had to go to the doctors for another checkup and some of you will know how much I cannot stand that place.! Add to this one majorly distant Biker Boy, who can seemingly only say "I'm too busy at work" and "sorry"... Literally, those were the only words I heard for 3 days, which conveniently fell around our anniversary: the weekend together was cancelled, the meal I planned, cancelled, because he was too busy at work. I wasn't hounding him, I left him to it, but when I'd text at night to say hope things were going ok and that he was getting somewhere at work, I was getting no replies. Needless to say, after a day or three of this, I got upset, and came to the conclusion we had run our course, or whatever the phrase is.

Then last night I thought I had nowt to lose so I text the boy and said if he gets finished at a reasonable time, it's nice bike weather and there'll be plenty of pasta for tea if he wanted to come round, about half 7, no pressure. By the time I got home, I had a text saying "maybe, I'll see what I feel like when I get home"...

It got to 7:20 and I hadn't heard from him, so I guessed it was a no. My parents were having a heated discussion, and I felt pretty low, so I started on the chocolate. And then about 15 minutes later the dogs started going mental, because someone had come into the house...

Long story short, he explained the seriousness of the stuff at work - it's leading to redundancies as the company has lost so much work. They're looking at a 30% reduction in staff and he will be losing people off his team but his job is safe.

He has insisted that I go out on friday, to this Girls Night, and he said he will pick me up so I can have a drink :) Which is good, considering it's a cocktail night...!

We spoke about diets too. He said he knows I'm feeling down recently, and when he heard about this 10lb challenge, he said it's a great idea and wishes us all luck! And then we started looking into how to kidnap a baby gorilla. There's a baby gorilla on the way at London Zoo, it's meant to be born this month, so there is a chance that it'll be there when we go in 16 sleeps. However, they are also introducing a new Daddy gorilla to the herd [is it a herd of gorillas??!] and Daddy gorillas don't like babies that aren't their own, so there is a chance the baby might get killed. So if it's there when we are, we're going to save the baby gorilla.

Food's not too bad. Too many snacks maybe, need to concentrate on "filling food" and whatnot......
:)

Hope to get a catch up tonight, I need to ebay a heap of junk, so I'll be kicking about near the PC............!!

The job search continues. Gads..

Hiya Hun big (((( hugs )))) ahh why do men just do that ignore us why don't they just 'talk' n explain instead if leaving us to worry? I hope you two are ok now and hope his work gets sorted xxx

Ahh bless the baby gorilla :( you need a battle plan , get minis there to break him free !!

Don't worry bout choc you are going through some emotional stuff and well done on the sts

Have a good Thursday hun and your girly nite out when it comes around :) xx

Huge linz shaped hugs comin at ya Jen!!..xxx

When u havin ur w/i??..xxx

Thanks, Support Network :) Much love to you all!!

My next weigh in is on tuesday, and I'm pretty looking forward to it!

I had a look at the menu for the place that we are going to tomorrow night and OMG it's good food porn...! I'm having a low point brekkie, a special K bar, a tin of chicken soup for lunch and that is me set for the day... It looks like the meal could be slightly pointier than I anticipated. 3 courses, plus cocktails. Plus meeting for drinks beforehand. Plus wine probably.

It's ok. Biker Boy said he will pick me up - hurrah! The only drawback is, his parents are dropping their car off at his house at stupid o clock on Saturday, as they are off on their hols and he is taking them to the airport. So either I stay in bed and resemble a rude alcoholic, or I get up and dressed stupidly early and struggle to make conversation with my undisguisable hangover.....!!
We'll see how I feel haha.

I am looking forward to the first friday in a looooong time where there is no pressure to go to the Greasy Spoon at lunch. The main instigator of these visits joined Weightwatchers earlier this week, and I feel an element of competition - it's good to have someone in the real world who is on the same plan, she'll help keep me on track at work.

And as for the colleague who wanted to lose weight for her hols, but didn't? Thinks she is being super healthy by having pub lunches three times a week - curry of the day, or lasagne and chips. Then her fella calls her fat... I don't like him, he's boring and not very nice, or pleasant.

Hmm... Pink nail varnish for tomorrow, me thinks!
I had a struggle to decide what to wear tomorrow night, and have opted for a pale pink camisole with black lacey details on it, a black shrug and jeans. No idea on shoes yet... I might have to have a quick look in the big Asda on the way to work... Exciting times!!

Have a great friday and weekend peoples... X

Ooohhh competition love it thrash her arse ;) grrrrr lol sorry
Sounds like you have a nice evening to look forward too :)
Pics please and I hope its as good as it sounds.
Have a lovely wekend xx

Thanks Cherry! I am actually really looking forward to it, so hope it's a good night!

The girl arranging tonight just emailed us all the menu, and I rushed here to tell you lot straight away... I have decided that I will possibly have..... *dramatic pause*
Haggis Wellington :D followed by lamb and them dolphinnose potatoes
and then either the strawberry cheesecake, or banoffee pie for dessert.

I have never had 'aggis before... But I saw Haggis Welly and burst out laughing, so I have to try it!

So all the good that I have done, doing my best to stick to 22 points this week instead of me supposed 27 points, will all be undone tonight. But it will be worth it!

Right back on it tomorrow morning. I've already put the bacon sarnie in my Tracker, 6 points. And I'll be with the fella so he'll keep me on track. :)

Have a fabulous day!! The sun is nearly shining here!! x

Make sure those dolphinnose potatoes aren't of the endangered variety!

Poor baby gorilla, why would they put a male in if it will likely kill the baby? That's really stupid as people love baby animals and will make them more money.

So glad you and BB all sorted again Jen - typical manfolk-type that he is, all that 'Men are From Mars' codswallop sometimes does seem to have meaning :D

Hope you have a lovely night tonight chicky - sounds fab, loving the dolphinose potatoes. I reckon I'd just ask for a huge plate of those! Ha! Also loving that you're planning a little splurge then totally back on track tomorrow. Good on you!

P.S. Love haggis. And never had any kind of welly but if I was going to, it'd definitely be haggis welly :D

Well girlies, it's half an hour til home time, I got a text this morning to say the key is in "the usual hiding place" with quote marks and everything... bless him! That only means he wants me to be home before him so he can text as he leaves and I can make him a cuppa... I know his game ;)

So looking forward to this haggis welly haha. I shouldn't build it up so much....

So today, I decided that Monday to Friday next week will be along the "Simply Filling" lines.

I wrote out some meal plans [as you can see, busy day at work today..] and stuck them in the points tracker. I can't change the points tracker to the Simply Filling, until Monday, so it's telling me what the day totals. I changed EVERYTHING to a large portion, the pasta, the rice, it's all large portions rather than my standard 50g dry weight. Just incase.

Blimey, you see how this makes you lose weight. All my days are under 14 points. AND one of them has a ready made curry in it...!
Funny how WW lets you do this, but if I follow the normal point-everything plan, I HAVE to have 27 points a day...

I want to cut back on bread, cheese [yes that old story again] and chocolate, these are my main stumbles, so the Simply Filling plan seems the right way forward for now. Though I'm sure some people will jump on my back and tell me that I am doing wrong, that it will never work...!

WOO!! 15 minutes to gooooooo!!

Betya the haggis welly is amazing!! i'd have it!!!

Enjoy and dont worry bout it/.... you've been good all week to compensate...happy drunkeness Jen!!!
xxxx

Jealous of your planned munching tonight Jen, although I dont think I would be brave enough to face the haggis - welly or not.

Have a fantastic night
