Jess' photo diary, surgery & baby later. Fresh start

Its mad coz Jess (princess peach) felt her movements weeks before I felt anything... Like a good 4 maybe 5 weeks before.. And she has an anterior placenta.. But as I said.. I think I do but its not been confirmed...
But then... as we all know... Every pregnancy is different!!

How are you Suzie?? How's your LO getting on? x

Girls how do you know if you have an anterior placenta and what difference does it make? X x

I have one and some days I barely feel anything, even at 35 weeks. Depends on baby's position for me. They didn't tell me, I just read it on my notes. When I asked the consultant they said if it's low lying then there's a higher risk of c section because it can make it harder to get baby out but if that was the case they would have told you at your 20 week scan (if you've had it) because they'd need to give you a scan later on in pregnancy. They also said there's more risk of baby being 'back to back' which can make labour more painful as it puts pressure on your spine but that's not always the case. So far, other than not feeling as much, it hasn't affected me and I don't think it does most women. Xx

pregnant & trying to maintain or lose! :)

Yeah mine was only noticeable in the last few weeks because he kept wedging his legs behind and I couldn't feel movement! So had to keep getting monitored. Doesn't really matter though unless it's covering the way out so to speak!

No one told me as such but it was on my notes after my scan at 13 weeks. When I rang up my midwife panicking about having not felt baby move at about 20 weeks she asked me to look on my note and explained it may be why I hadn't felt anything yet. Got my first proper kicks off baby at nearly 22 weeks!

As everyone's already said, it makes no difference unless the placenta is low, they'd have said if it was low though as you'd need another scan later on to check if it had moved. I just found that I felt less movement as baby hid behind it a lot ;) xxx

Good thanks, but tired! She has always been a good sleeper but not so much recently due to hunger so we have started on the food this week! Carrots and pears have been big hits, potato an absolute no-no! The faces she pulls are hilarious. This is her sitting in her table chair though! Decided against a highchair, they just get in the way and my kitchen is cluttered enough as it is!

OMG Susie.. What a little cutie!!!!! I love her chubby little cheeks.. Is she teething?? Hense the rosy cheeks??
I think I'm gona get a table chair too... We have tonnes of room in our kitchen but I think it'd be nicer to have baby with us AT the table.. rather than beside it.. Its the little things :) How old is she now??

Aw, she's lovely! Gorgeous little face <3

pregnant & trying to maintain or lose! :)

She is 5months now! It goes so fast :'(
But it's fun as well.
We got our table chair from amazon, it's a Chicco one. We had to cut a little bit of the table so it would fit (due to the shape of the arm bits underneath) but now it's on it's great and it's nice having her next to us as you say!
She quite likes it too I think, she's the same level as us and as she is a nosy Parker she can keep an eye on things! X

Re the teething I don't know. I've given up trying to find a reason-they have been like that for months! It comes and goes. Same as the dribble-that comes and goes as well!

Thanks all! I do agree obviously! Yes Frances, she is chubby but like you I like chubby babies! She's not fat though, just cuddly! She's long as well so even though she is 5months she has nearly outgrown 6-9month babygrows! Am hoping she takes after her dad height wise rather than being a short arse like me!
She's currently crashed and burned and is snoozing in her bouncer-doesn't happen very often these days! ImageUploadedByMiniMins.com1386177632.071483.jpg

Chubby babies are adorable <3 I think my boy is going to be a chubby one, I hope so anyway! She looks so cute in her bouncer, awww xxx

OMG Susie... how ADORABLE is that pic?? Sucking on her little thumb n all.. OMG... She's just gorgeous...
What weight was she born?? She's reminding me of my niece when she was a baby.. She had rolls of fat on her arms n legs she was so chubby.. At 10lb 3oz born AND she was 2 weeks early as her Mammy had an elective C section!!!

She was 9lb 4oz and didn't I just know it! But that's a story for another day! She was two weeks over by the time she arrived. I didn't think I looked that big at the time but seeing pics since, and seeing a few friends who are full term as well I think I was in denial! I had only put 2st on though by the end of pregnancy, and when I got home had lost it all....then it started creeping back on-hence why I'm on here! I don't suffer with baby weight, mines over-indulging post baby! As well as what was from general over-indulgence before....:D

Do you have a food diary on here?? x

No not on here, I do one at home. I'm doing ok actually-lost 11.5lb as of tonight so I now weigh less than I did when I got pregnant! Which is nice...next goal is to fit into my wedding dress again!
X

Wow. Well done Susie. That can't have been easy. Especially being at home with no routinetap such.
