Ooh now your waters have gone that's it!! I was just short of 22 hours (and about 50 updates on here!!) from my waters being broken. The drip gets them going pretty quickly. I went from 5cm at 11.30 to 10cm at 3.30 so fingers crossed. You'll be a Mummy very very soon!!!!!!x

Hi everyone!!!!

Sorry its taken so long to get on here to be able to update. I gave birth to our son Joshua Ajay Pooni on Sunday 19 January at 11.46pm. Weight - 9lb 1(ouch)!!!!

After giving birth I became very ill immediately and am still in hospital now on antibiotics. I was so ill initially I couldnt even hold or do anything for Joshua. Alongside being ill I also had to have an episiotomy which left me struggling even more just to move and do anything.

As I was so ill they also checked Joshua and it was found that he has some sort of infection too. So he has been on antibiotics. Today his "infection marker" was at 22 (it should be 5 or less to be not of concern) and so Joshua had to have a lumber spine puncture thing around midday which sent me over the edge and breaking down in tears

They unfortunately failed after 3 attempts to do the spine puncture and so at the moment he is staying on the antibiotics and they will keep checking his "infection marker".

Due to everything thats gone on I have needed hubby here at hospital with me and we needed to pay for a private ensuite room as being on a ward with others was just too difficult with everything going on. The room costs £175 a night and we are now on night 2. Its a lot of money...but at the same time is proving to be well worth it and it is making things less stressful and easier for us

Alongside all the above...I have (unsurprisingly) been struggling with breastfeeding but am now starting to make progress after a lovely breastfeeding specialist has been helping me all day

Anyways.....unfortunately I dont know how to put any photos on here using my mobile in hospital. ...I will try and figure it out and will then post a pic

Thankyou so much for all of your messages of support and well wishes :) xxx
