Joined slimming world tonight

I notice the shake is over 200 calories hun... so that would make it around the 1200 calories, maybe just under. I'll see, they end up expensive if having to buy two tins every week at full price.

Leigh, I get the Asda version of them. They taste just the same. There's 10 sachets in a pack for £4.00.
 
Should be 200 each as Ment be 1300 cals a day. I think they sell them in Home baragains did do few months ago. But yes that was the other reason I started eating I figured It’s cheaper have a sarnie and bag off crisps for 400 cals for dinner then left with 900 so couple hundred for breakfast and rest for tea.

Think I did two weeks and trust me ur grateful for the food .

SF ones are higher than 200 calories but the own brand ones are 200. That was the reason I changed because they were less calories so thought I'd give them a go.

I still love having the shake, I think it keeps me motivated and helps me when I'm at work because it's so easy :) It's whatever works for you as an individual.

I'm still gobsmacked that I'm sticking to Calorie Control as well as I am because with all other diets I would have cheated by now!
 
It’s cause there is no restrictions with it u can cheat but be good for rest of day so it works well.

I think SF is 230 calories. I thought they were 200 till I looked on the tin, strange because the daily calories don't add up with them being 230??
 
I haven't read instructions but I'd assume more calories with semi skimmed milk rather than skimmed too, yeah think it's 234 calories or close enough, maybe their snacks work out less, or maybe its not 1300, I may very well look at own brand then, I like the shake, not enough of it though lol, used to buying big bottles of milkshake or smoothies though, I'm so greedy. I'm hoping to drop what I put on so back to my lowest weight, think was around 12.1 or. 2.

Might have curry tonight.
 
Mid week weigh results - 3/4 of a pound


It’s going the right way and scales now say 16.13 3/4 yipppppppe. Aim now is to stay there goodbye 17s 😀😀😀

4 3/4 to go to get my 2 stone
 
Ye I ant goin back into it now now Iv seen it I want it. Really can’t wait to get to 16.9 that will feel amazing to be there as I know I only have a stone to go.

Iv got my goal at 15.9 for July holiday but once I’m back off hol reckon my aim is to get to 13.9 by crimbo. This will be a 5 stone loss and should really be able to tell the diff.

I’d like to be in size 12s ideally and Il keep goin untill I get to this stage

Keep doing what you're doing and you will get those size 12's. You are doing fab and getting loses each week. Plus you've made it a lifestyle change rather than a diet, so no reason not to stick to it.

I always like to be well below the stone mark because that way if I gain slightly, I won't go back over it. In my head it keeps me motivated.
 
Ye this is the way I’m looking at it. If I go out I eat what I like I know If it’s good or bad and if it’s bad i cut back for rest of the day. It’s just my normal way of eating. We are havin bbq on Saturday as Ment be nice on slimming world I’d be dreading it but I’m not all. Il keep cals low for day and count the cals for bbq prob go over a bit but not loads.

Im glad to see losses every week every other diet Iv done Iv seen stayed the same and gains for lots of weeks . This is week 12 for me so it’s working may be a 1 but all
Adds up and if I want more need to stop takeaways but I like them so happy as I am for now

The bbq will be fine I'm sure. Like you say you'll work out all the calories and then go low for the rest of the day. It's so easy. I know what you mean about SW, I got to the point where if I knew I had something planned, I would not lose that week. It was really hard because I love socialising.
 
Ye it’s hard isn’t it when u go out for meals and a lot of life is based around food isn’t it. Like you say if had something planned the whole week would be a right off. I think aswell when u do have a treat on this diet the gain isn’t no where near as bad as slimming world. Maybe because our bodies are still having naughty foods it isn’t so much as a shock . I also used to wake uo some days and Id of eatin all my syns by dinner time and then be fed up and say oh stuff it haha. I think the fact Iv only had one gain since I started says the diet is great for me plus that was my bday week aswell.

Ye if I loose 1lb this week that 24lb in 12 weeks so pretty good to keep loosing

So if you lose 1lb this week, that will average out to 2lbs a week, that's fab :)

I was really surprised when I got back from America and had only gained 4lbs in 3 weeks. I didn't walk as much as I normally do, so that can't be the reason. Like you I think it is because our bodies are used to eating properly and not being so restricted. Also I didn't eat as much purely because my stomach has shrunk and I wasn't feeling hungry all the time.
 
Ye the odd higher loss Iv been gettin equals it out to 2 a week so really good.

Ye I think with slimming world so restricted and when we are off plan you go for everythin u can’t eat . People say it’s not restricted but it is from all the bad stuff and that’s the reason we are over weight in the first place. Also ur portion size doesn’t change so soon as off plan ur plate is full but with all the wrong food.

The right way to do it is cut down on portion size and know ur allowance which we are doing. I think for me on hol if it wasn’t for alcohol and fresh bread my gain wouldn’t be know where near as bad but these two things are my downfall. I don’t worry on holiday as long as get bck on it when Home be fine.

I think it’s making us aware aswell of how much we should be having. It’s like I know if Iv had a big dinner I’m like no way can I have tea that was a lot of cals lol. When I go carvery I just pile it with veg but I still have roasts mash and yorkie. What I do diff is eat all the veg first then when i get full I think Is that roast really worth eating 9 times out of 10 they are left on plate
