Just saying hello from a newbie

Hi all. I just found this site looking for other things. I started my diet last Monday - have a huge amount to lose and red wine has always been my downfall but after a week with none I've realised it can be done. Just treating myself to it at weekends.

Anyway, I've decided to try WW as I have known so many people do well on it so here I am. Any tips, etc. would be helpful.

My friend at work is my "mentor". She is giving me mini targets. My first one is to lose 5 pounds by 23 August (starting last Monday) so here's hoping.

I'm contemplating joining the club but I think I would rather do the online club, does anyone else do that? I'm better when I focus by filling out a diary and checking things daily and my friend will weigh me so I may go that way forward.

whatever works best for you tbh; people here go to meetings in person, do the e-source online, or just do it at home with no help from ww apart from books to work out points etc :)

which ever way you feel comfortable doing it tbh good luck xx
