I'm hoping to start Atkins Monday or Tuesday so I thought I'd pop in and say hi.

I was on a VLCD but finding it too much of a struggle for the moment :break_diet:

Anyone have any hints/tips for the first week or so?
 
Meat, fish, eggs and lots of leafy green veg, go easy on the cheese and no more than 2 tablespoons of cream a day. Read the stickies above and enjoy eating :)
 
As the lovely Bren says above & guzzle lots of water!!

Hi and welcome, we seem to have a rash of new starters suddenly. :)
 
I noticed that Jim - must be the OMG I HAVE TO LOOSE A STONE BEFORE XMAS!
If it was me id just wait till jan!
 
Like I did last year. and then people come back who have disappeared. Ill be back on induction LOL.
 
lol!!!! i suppose with my major clean planned - 3 days of 6 hours per day = 3086 calories! omfg!
 
ah, but I'm being good here, now down 7lbs on posted weight. This week will destroy that though, or some of it anyway.
 
I'm away for a night and the company Christmas do is on Friday. The menu is decidedly not Atkins friendly, all pasta and Italian. :) That and the no doubt copious amounts of Guinness I'l be drinking.
 
How much is the most you would gain on a big carby meal and loads of beers Jim?
