Thanks for the support guys. He didn't have a very good night last night but he's feeling a lot more positive today so fingers crossed x
 
Sorry Karen only just got to reading the posts while I'm waiting to close up so didn't see this earlier. Very sorry OH not well but glad he's now showing some improvement. Take care of yourself to

Now re studying (if this is an odd thing to discuss on your diet thread let me know) However we coudl be a cyber match made in heaven. I have the CIPD bit rusty as taken in 1996 but if you do get pressed to go down that route always happy to help in any way -even though I let my membership lapse as it got so expensive and its not essential for my work.

If you want my email to keep in touch re Phd or other study when you get going then this will be a technical miracle that will need explicit instructions for me.

In the meantime back to diet issues and good luck for this week

Well I haven't had the best of days today. My OH has been admitted to hospital. He's been ill for a week now and his GP referred him to a specialist. She took one look at him and admitted him. Goodness knows what she would have done if it had been this time last week as he was actually much worse then! He's going to be in for about a week for some intensive treatment and she's talking about a skin biopsy which sounds very frightening.

I've been comfort eating like you wouldn't believe and I always find it hard not to eat for England if I'm on my own :(

Sweetie, only just read your posts, really sorry about whats happening with you, hope your OH is on the mend soon and I really wouldn't worry about what work will think of you, you have far more important things on your mind! Thinking of ya! x

Hi all. Well, it never rains but it pours. I now have some sort of horrible fluey thing - aches and pains, a temperature, earache, cough etc etc. I feel absolutely pants and couldn't drive even if they would let me in to the hospital, which they won't!

Have spent yesterday evening and all of today in bed. OH should be home Monday or Tuesday and I have told him it's his turn to look after me! Thank god for modern technology, he has phone and email at his bedside. I'm moving into hospital from now on. They even have a menu for choosing what you want to eat.

I have stuck to my points apart from a bottle of cough medicine and a packet of throat sweets. I know they are sugary so do have points but I can't count them. If I sts, I'll deal with it but I need those points for chocolate!
 
You're right it never rains but it pours. Take care of youself and hope OH back there with you soon

Thanks M. I'm having a good old wallow in self pity and feeling cuddle-deficient. Even at the hosp it's not allowed as he can't get out of bed because of dressings etc and of course, you're not allowed to do anything other than sit decorously on a chair and hold hands for risk of MRSA.

Hopefully only a couple of days to go and I can cuddle to my heart's content - the dog keeps struggling out of my arms when I try to cuddle him!

I am sending you loads of love and cuddles i really am,i hope you feel better soon and oh gets better.
I have got my horrible cough back i really ach too,it never rains unless it pours.
