little steps lovely xx

That makes sense. After a wobble my default solution is to revert to SS... maybe not the smartest plan. Thanks Greeneyes, appreciate the advice and support.

Hi KC -- I hope things are going better... I am really enjoying the Beck book. I even rewrote out my ARCs so I could read them -- lol.

Anyway, I have reread the CD books and they say that IF you have a bmi of 25 or less you cannot SS. I am sure Lelly can explain why that is... I suspect it has a lot to do with your body being at a pretty healthy weight, and fighting you on every loss.

So, the higher plan makes good sense due that possbility as well.

Gotta go and get a tooth filled... fun, fun! ;)

Linda's advice is sound, backed up by Lelly. Doable? xx

I agree with Linda, Katy. I do think that maybe SS is being used as a form of self-punishment and it is making you scared of food and food-based diets, which is crazy right? I got scared yesterday for having a cheese roll.........how mad is that? The point of doing this and reading Beck and coming on here to share and post, is to find the right way to lose weight, maintain weight and to not be scared of eating, by being able to control what we are eating, how much we are eating and not being completely derailed by having something "naughty"

If we were more relaxed about it, it wouldn't become an all or nothing situation. I think a higher CD plan would be good for you at this point. You have done a number of 100% weeks now, like me, it gets a bit too hard to continue with that. You deserve great credit for the weeks that you have put in and the weight that you have lost so far.

You'll get there hun, have faith in yourself xxx

Thanks, all of you. Cannot tell you how much I appreciate it, without you lot I would be sunk. I still don't know really what to do but can see SS isn't really the best plan. (@ Mel, I am at BMI 25.5 so technically still OK for SS, I wouldn't do it below 25 I promise you.) I have just had shakes today, but will have an 810 tea (mushrooms and cottage cheese.) Tomorrow in Manchester with DD, back Thurs evening... feel ready for the challenge, I can do it. I CAN.

Overall, am thinking along lines of moving to 1000 at weekend, see how it goes... after 1 or 2 weeks maybe up to 1200. Then 1500 and then over to SW. But this plan gives me the option to stay on any level that feels do-able, so there is flexibilty to go up & down and hopefully find a place that feels more sustainable than where I am right now. Well, it's almost a plan!

Spent the afternoon working 'away' but not too far... good though! Another day of 'away from home' work on Friday, look forward to that too, then back in the routine again a little.

Better go do something with mushrooms then...

That is an excellent plan Katy, flexibility is the key. Moving up or down as you need to without feeling that you've 'blown it'. Go you!!!! xxxx

Sounds like a very good plan. :)

Great Katy you are really giving yourself options instead of 'all or nothing' there are lots of different type of plans you can follow hun, you'll find the answer xx

Katy I've just caught up on your posts, sorry you've had a tough time, but I think most of us have been there and know just how you feel. I know I've been losing and gaining the same 4 - 5 lbs, stopping and restarting cd for longer than I care to remember but as others have said try and find a plan that suits you, we're all there for you.

DAY 57

Scales: 12st. Woop! (And a strange sense of deja-vu...)
The next time I hop on scales (Fri morning, I am away till Thurs night) I hope to see the 11s. (Even a FLICKER of 11 would do...) It's possible, but only of I am REALLY focused while away in Manchester. Have packed two shakes and two bars, and the remaining daily shake will have to be a latte en route, and the 810 meal a wagamama rice dish or salad. There is one where you can just eat the egg and tofu and leave much of rice, which has worked for me in past. DD is naturally a pretty healthy eater and will love wagamama, and if I ask her to keep an eye on me for eating junk she will not let me derail. And I will not.

Looking forward to this... lots of work for DD last night preparing portfolio... it's not an interview, she has an offer for a place, but they want to look and talk to her about her work. And then... girl time, and exploring the place!

Sending happy-wednesday vibes to all of you, and major thanks for input yesterday. Am not taking Beck (too big for trains & to lug around all day) but am taking EFT for Emotional Eating, the other book ordered at same time as Beck and which I haven't looked at yet. EFT is the technique Paul McKenna uses in his 'I can make you thin' book/TV, or so I have been told. So... still working on the head stuff.

Morning Katy, Gret news on the scale drop hun, hope you and DD have a fabulous trip together! Enjoy it hunny, ooh not done wagamamma yet, hubby not keen for some reason, so we're opting for easy cheapy harvester for family meal out tomorrow, still looking forward to having an evning off anyway.
Have a lovely time

Hooray to 12st! Have a great time, don't forget your umbrella!! xx

Hi KC,

You sound as if you are doing much better. Please let us know if the book is a good read. I hope you and your DD make time for some fun.

This is an exciting for you both. You're going have an "empty nest" soon - but that means more time for YOU!

MM

JESSSSSS!!!!!

You have totally made my day, and it has been a fab day already. Thanks so much. In a huge hurry (net will cut out soon) but WOW!

Good day food wise, 1 shake, 1 skinny latte, 1 CD bar, wagamama tofu dish with miso soup, left 3/4 rice, and we are both wiped out (up at 5) so early night. And tomorrow - SHOPS before heading home! She loved it, so very happy.

Hope you are all OK.

You did Jess but don't expect an answer from Katy, she has just swooned, fell over, banged her head and is now semi-conscious with a soppy grin on her face :D
