the atkins book says you will lose weight if you stay in ketosis, it is a life plan and there are no reports to show people becoming ill by staying in ketosis.

if you follow the plan you slowly introduce carbs anyway, so by the time you have lose the weight you want to you will start maintaining, there are a few people on here at that stage at the moment and they have a slice of bread, or occasional potatoes or ryvitas...
