I am sure this has been done to death, but is it better to have deep purple readings or pink or does it not make any difference.
Mine are deep purple now, but this morning they were pale pink. I have drank 2 litres of water since 7 this morning, so I know it is not dehydration.
thanks

dont really know but if you are drinking plenty of water maybe you are just weeing ketones. If you exercise you will possibly burn them off and the stick will be lighter pink. try not to get too obsessed with them (easier said than done for me lol)

Thanks,
Don't worry not obsessed just interested. Makes me feel better if dark as I think more fat is being burned.

Also I think "sticky" or whoever controls this forum should have a separate thread for Ketostix readings,as I am sure this topic comes up too often

I've always been advised that as long as you have even a trace showing, that's the key thing - any positive reading at all means you're in ketosis, which is what you want! I know many people find they get a darker result in the morning as they haven't been glugging water all night, so the ketones are more concentrated in your first wee of the day :D
