Kim's diary of being a new mum

That's one thing (apart from eating a good medium-rare steak) I'm looking forward to once baby is here...having HUGE gushy wees!! xx

I never thought I'd say I miss having a proper wee, but seriously... ;)

Re: Kim's pregnancy diary

Haha oh I'm right with you on the wee thing... it's so frustrating to not be able to wee normally.

Oh dear girls I think the hormones are back I've just sat and watched the tesco Christmas advert crying my eyes out! Now come on its not even sad!! What is wrong with me?! Haha.

Don't!!! Have you seen the John Lewis one?!?! With the Bear?! Balled my eyes out at it!!!!

Aw good news then x hopefully they are right and you could be in by xmas :) x

Lol @ your dream! :D it's funny what our brains think of... I had a dream last night I was going for a reeeeeallly long wee lol! I think that was wishful thinking because I haven't had a decent gushing wee for a while now lol xx

Just as long as you didn't actually have a long wee ;-) I don't wee much these days. I think I need a massive one then when I go it's barely there. Think baby is having a play with my bladder lol xx

Nooo lol although I have been known to do that when I was younger :\ dream of going for a wee and waking up in a puddle!! lol Ugh, it's so annoying. My bladder feels HUGE sometimes and I feel like I could do with a good ol' gush, but when it comes to it, it's like...a "trickle" lol so frustrating :) x
OMG.. What is that about??? Like I do be BUSTING to go to the loo.. Get there and can nearly not get my pants down quick enough.. Then am left waiting for the lightest trickle??!!!! WTF!!!

Hormones hit me lastnight too... Tears gallore!!! Stupid!!

I've knocked off anything Christmas that comes on TV... I won't do Christmas til December 1st.. But girls at work have been talking about the JL one...

Oh yes i've seen the JL one that is a tear-jerker, but something about the Tesco one set me off last night.....god how sad are we! haha.

26+6 Weeks

Last day of being 26 weeks today, had HUGE stresses yesterday with the move, got back from lunch to an email from the estate agent saying the couple in the property we are buying are going away over Christmas, she is going from next wednesday(!!) and he is joining her early December....so if we don't exchange by next wednesday and complete by first week in December then they wont do anything until February (!!!!!) and are considering pulling out (i assume they feel they will get more for the property by next year with the rate prices are increasing around here!!!!! This made for one incredibly stressed, freaked out pregnant lady calling the solicitor and estate agent. We have slight progress today as the solicitor left me the big report on the property we are buying and we have been able to sign the contract, but there are still a few queries that the solicitor wants sorted before she is happy for us to exchange, so now we wait to see what happens next week! Pregnant and moving = FAR TOO STRESSFUL!

Baby was going crazy last night, kicking and wriggling away. To the point where i couldn't get to sleep so i pressed my stomach against Mike's back and even he was like "Baby stop kicking me!" haha. I wonder if the stress of the afternoon made it go a bit crazy...or maybe it was the fish and chips i ate for dinner! who knows!

That's amazing. It's fantastic the things doctors can do these days. Such a beautiful little man too :) xx

How gorgeous is he?! Was so fragile and tiny at the beginning, but so happy and healthy at the end..amazing xxx

Thanks Missy - i had an OK weekend thanks, busy and seems to have flown by, can't believe it's Monday again!

27+2 weeks

Well i'm on to the 27th week, and starting to feel the tiredness creeping back in (or maybe thats a side effect of the sleepless nights worrying about the move etc?!). I am hoping that this week sees the resolution to the move, one way or another on the move, i wonder if the threat of "if we don't exchange by Wednesday it wont happen until Feb" is true or not...i guess we shall see!
The weekend was another rather busy one, we went to see Mike's parents on Saturday and then out for a meal with his brother as it was his brothers birthday. Baby was quite quiet on Saturday.....i did feel movements but not the normal amount so by the evening i was starting to get a little bit worried, but as soon as i got home and in to bed it started going crazy again so i assume i probably was just not noticing the movemements or it was kicking my placenta or back or something. Seems to be back to it's busy little self again so i assume it's moved back to a place i can feel it.

Can't believe that Christmas is only 1 month away! I am SO not ready! lol. Please tell me i am not the only one. Next week starts the birthday marathon of December with one of my sisters kicking things off on 2nd, my eldest niece on 12th, my sister on 18th (her 40th), me on the 20th (my 30th), then Christmas and then it's my nieces' first birthday on 30th as well as Mike's Dad on that day too. January doesn't offer much of a reprieve either as we have Mike's mum's birthday on 22nd (her 60th), my brother on the 27th and then my mum on the 30th (her 60th), so lots of special birthdays coming up. I've never been this unorganised in terms of presents - i really need to get a wriggle on and get some birthday or christmas presents brought!

Hope you girls had a good weekend! x

You are definitely not the only disorganised Christmas person lol, I haven't done a thing and half considering whether to even bother putting decorations up. I just can't get excited about it, not until I know whether I'm having a baby before or after Christmas! Chances are it'll be before but if he's as late as allowed it could be Christmas Day or Boxing Day before he's born... So until I have a better idea what's going on Christmas is nonexistent in my head. ;)

I hope you get some good news on the move this week, it sounds so stressful :( xxx

No you're not alone lol I've only just ordered a few christmas presents, but the rest of it will be done with about 6 days to go until xmas day lol :\ I'm pregnant lol that's my excuse anyway ;)

Hope the house stuff gets sorted this week! Keep us posted :)

And happy belated 27 weeks!! :D Welcome to the 3rd trimester and only 10 weeks to go until full term ;) xx

Thanks hun, ahhh i completely understand - we are similar in that we can't put decorations up because we don't know when we will be moving, i hope baby doesn't keep you waiting too long and comes before Christmas so he can have his first Christmas with his family :)

OMG Jess i hadn't equated that it is only 10 weeks until i'd be classed as full term! EEEK! i seriously have nothing sorted yet. Man oh man this baby better get itself comfy and stay inside until close to due date lol.

will definitely keep you updated on the house progress - no news as of yet....but i assume no news is good news in this case!

Hi hun.. Hope you have an answer sooner rather than later... Such a stress that you don't need!!

You are so not the only one not organised... I'm not!! Though I've only to buy for Jonathan this year (nieces and nephews get money or vouchers as they're older now so prefer it) I've to do J's Christmas shopping coz he's busy with work and working in the house.. So its only fair.. Seen as I can't help him (still feel awful about that!!)
Text around his family to ask what the kids are into etc but only 1 of them has come back to me so far.. Was hoping to have it done the weekend.. If I've not got answers by this weekend, they'll get what they're given.. Like it or lump it!!

God that sounds really stressful about the house. Hopefully it will be sorted and you can start to relax a little.

Christmas is really coming in so quick this year. I'm all organised and ready for action though, even have all birthday gifts for around Christmas bought. Everything is wrapped and labeled really well incase hubby has to do the deliverys. I just took one day and went to the city with hubby, minus kids and got it all done. You'll be grand though, you have plenty of time x

27+3 weeks

Well no more news on the house sale - i cannot see any way that we are going to exchange before tomorrow...so lets see how real the threat of them pulling out is if it doesn't happen. I am part the point of getting stressed about it - i just want to know, so we can either start looking for another property or just sit back and wait for this to happen.

Baby has been a bit quieter the last few days, i think it's moved positions as some movements feel very uncomfortable and there is certainly more rolling/turning/whatever it does when i see bumps sticking out. Still feeling plenty of movements just not it's normal crazy kicking so i assume it's either laying towards my back and not kicking against me or it's got itself in a crazy position in there. I really wish i could see in there to know what it's doing! I laid on the sofa last night prodding it trying to get it to move and it was a really weird sensation when it did - so i knew it has moved and isn't kicking where it has been.

I got my christmas wrapping paper yesterday - thats a start to the christmas presents i suppose. I need to get some christmas cards really as they need to go out soon.

Laura - you are very organised but then with bubba due so close to Christmas i think i would have to be too. :)
