Yeh my hubby is fab, he's been doing loads and is loving being a daddy :)
Aside from caring for Oliver I've done nothing else!
I like H&M clothes and he needs some more vests and cardigans :)
My boy has the opposite problem- he's in 0-3 months in some of his clothes already!
So we've got quite a few bits that don't fit at all!
Plus he's long, got a big head so a lot of his hats don't fit either! X

Last night was our first unsettled night- he wouldn't stop crying, nothing worked until about half 4 this morning when he fall asleep through exhaustion! His first trip to Tesco today and being Oliver he slept through it! Had visitors- in laws and hubby's sister so Oliver was more than happy with the extra cuddles :) We've noticed over the last few days a bit of jaundice developing, spoke to MW about it and she said to keep an eye on it. It was much worse today so we decided to pop to the hospital to have him checked over. Was there 3 hours and they discharged him, but got to go back tomorrow- my poor boy had to have a blood test :( If it has got worse he'll need treatment under a lamp (can't remember what they called it!). It's basically nothing to worry about but they just want to keep an eye on him. Anyway was almost 11pm before we got home, he's been fed, changed and cuddled and now he's kicking off again! It seems as soon as it hits midnight, he won't settle. Think we may be in for a long night and we have to back at hospital for 10 in the morning :-/ I'm tired, achy and just want my bed... I did have a lovely sm bottle of cider tho as I needed it! Enjoyed it very much, first one in 9 months :) Hopefully we'll have a better night and tomorrow won't be too bad.
Bedtime for us x

3.5 hours of deep sleep and he's only now having a feed with daddy :)
Thank you Oliver we needed that :)
My turn for next feed (prob about 6:30-7) so back to sleep I go x

My boy continued with the good sleep- after a feed and bum change he was back asleep by 5 and didn't wake again until half 7!!
So me and hubby both feel quite refreshed today, thanks Oliver :)
Anyway hospital called up say come in this afternoon instead of morning so we've had breakfast and just chilling for a bit.
Oliver had another feed at 11 but I had to wake him up for it and he's asleep in my arms right now :)

Another day almost over- these last 5 days have been a blur!
Getting up earlier than usual this morning really helped with today as we've been more productive around the house!
We had visitors this afternoon- hubby's auntie, uncle and cousins so Oliver got lots of cuddles and more presents :)
Sat outside in the sun which was just lovely :)
Then we had to go back to hospital for a check up on his jaundice, and the good news is his levels are down from yesterday so nothing to worry about and they are very pleased with him :)
Plus MW came round and alls very well- he now weighs 9lbs 9oz so only lost 2oz of his birth weight, so he's gonna be a right little chunky monkey!!
For the first time since he was born, we've had dinner at a reasonable time and we are chilling out with a sleepy little boy :)
Now about to go have a shower and then it's my turn for cuddles :)

Busy day!
Last night Oliver was grumpy- I think he was rather hot so that meant he was cranky!
Went to bed at 12 after a feed but he cried and grizzled until 2:30 when I fed him again.
He still wouldn't settle and it took until 3:45 before he finally gave in and slept!
Didn't wake up again until 6:30 when hubby fed him and then he was back down at 7 and when hubby popped out at 8 me and Oliver were both sound asleep :)
Up at 9 for next feed and then the day began...
Did stuff around the house, then hubby's grandparents popped in for a cuddle, then we popped out to Tesco then back home and my parents visited for a while.
Once everyone had gone, me and hubby took Oliver to the pub for dinner!
He was fab- slept all the way through and didn't wake up until we got home just before 11. He's just had his feed and now getting his nappy changes before bed.
It was so nice to go out with hubby and chat, the last 6 days it's all been about Oliver, which is how it's meant to be but it has proven hard on our marriage.
Still we are the happiest we've ever been, Oliver just makes our growing family complete :)
Tomorrow we are going to make him official :) and treat him to some clothes :)

My little man is one week old today :)
We are going out soon to make him 'official' then a spot of lunch and some shopping :) x

I can't believe it's been a wk already! He's such a cutey, can't wait for my baby to arrive xx

It doesn't seem like two minutes since you were playing the 'is it, isn't it' game with your pains! Time goes way too fast x

It goes so fast!
This time last week I was in labour, now I'm watching tv with my little man <3

My beautiful boy, who is now 'official' lol and had all the staff in M&S cafe wanting cuddles earlier :)

Had a lovely day today- took little man to be registered, which he slept through of course, then we headed to M&S for a spot of lunch.
The staff all loved him and couldn't have been more helpful :)
Once we all had lunch (Oliver too!) we grabbed some nice food for dinner (we see M&S as a treat so we like to buy ourselves something nice for dinner when we go in there :)) and headed home.
Didn't get to H&M as we simply ran out of time on our parking ticket and also wanted to be home before rush hour hit.
Still he has loads of clothes and certainly isn't going without so we'll do that shopping trip another time :)
We've started to try out giving him a routine today as the last two nights he's been keeping us awake for a long time- last night, after a feed at midnight he stayed awake until 4 (that includes another feed and bum change) before he finally gave in and slept.
The only advantage to that was that at 8, when we both woke up, he was still asleep!
We've also put him in his Moses basket in his room for his bedtime, the idea being we put him down at 7 after a feed and the wake him at 10:30 for another feed and bum change before we go to bed ourselves.
The hope is he'll only wake us once around 3 for a feed and then be up at 6/7 for the start of the day.
However we have the monitor on and since we put him to bed at 7 he hasn't really slept, so we think we're gonna be in for a rough night again :-/
Still he is only a week old so can't expect too much, too soon!

And this time last week I was 20 mins away from my boy entering the world :)
It's been a bit of a blur and I'm shattered beyond belief but can't imagine life without him now :) x
