Kirsty's pregnancy and new Mummy diary- from 30 weeks onwards!

Aww seems like your little boy is doing so well! And seems to be a good little sleeper aswell! :) Always handy ;) lol xx

You're doing fab hun!! Motherhood is amazing isn't it xxx
Yeh he loves his sleep that's for sure!!
Thanks, I'm loving it- I couldn't be happier right now, he's my whole world :) <3 xx

Another lovely day- popped out to Waitrose to do the weekly shop and show off my boy- it took 3 hours lol!
Everyone wanted to say hello, we was stopped in practically every aisle!!!
They gave me a very generous gift- flowers, champagne and £50 gift voucher
Which is so kind of them :)
We then stopped in the cafe for lunch which took a while and then back home!
My friend popped in for cuddles and brought Oliver some lovely clothes :)
We are now about to have our dinner whilst Oliver naps, and I think we are going to enjoy a bottle of champers tonight :)
X

Well Oliver decided he wasn't going to sleep last night!
Not sure if it was the heat but he was really unsettled.
He had his usual feeds and his nappies were fine, lots of winding but he was still grumpy!
The only thing that worked was putting him in his bouncy chair with the vibrator on and white noise app!
The only downside to that is he can't sleep in his chair all night so we had to move him back to his basket- he did not like that!!
But more white noise (best app ever invented!!) and he finally fell asleep!
And this morning he is grumpy!
He settles for 20 mins with white noise but then starts crying again!
I think he's overtired and that's why he's so ratty today!
We have just given him a bottle in 2 halves, so to speak, and instead of his usual 90ml we've upped it to 120ml and he's drank it all!!
Going to keep trying 120ml and see what happens :)
MW is due round today so we won't be doing much til she's been x

It turns out it was his nappies bothering him... We had been using Waitrose own and had no problems at all.
But we had a pack of 'Tesco loves baby' in the cupboard to use up so we started on them today.
Unfortunately they leak :(
We've had to change his bedding as well as him and his back was soaking wet- this just half hour after putting a new nappy on!!!!
So they've gone in the bin and it's back to Waitrose own.
He's still cranky but guessing that's down to lack of sleep today...
Hubby is also grumpy today but I'll let him be as his hayfever is really bad :(
It does mean he's shouted at me a few times and with Oliver being cranky it's not helping!
On the good side, MW came today and we've been discharged :)
Alls well with both of us and my little chunky monkey is now 9lbs 12oz so he's regained the 2oz of birth weight he lost and gained another :)
We've upped his feeds to 120ml (4oz) as he seems to still be hungry after 90ml.
Tomorrow we are going to in-laws so MIL can have some 'granny time' and I can get my hair cut and coloured :)
Oliver is just finishing a bottle with daddy and then it's bedtime.
Hoping for a better sleep tonight and hoping hubby doesn't suffer too much as he'll be even more grumpy tomorrow! X

Unfortunately Oliver was just as restless last night... I tried for almost 3 hours to get him to sleep and ended up in such a state myself that hubby took him downstairs and there they stayed.
Hubby said it took until half 4 to settle him and I came downstairs at 7 to such a cute sight (see photo) :)
We've had a busy day- first to in laws to get my hair done, which was lovely :)
Oliver got loads of cuddles and did sleep a fair bit, no doubt catching up on last night.
Then we popped round to see our friends, who've also had a baby- little Abigail, born 2 days after Oliver :)
Both asleep and placed them side by side in their rocker chairs, such a lovely sight!
And Oliver is such a chunk compared to Abi!
Home, had dinner and now Oliver is playing up again- he seems to get really restless as soon as he's had his last feed.
Really hoping he has a better night, the lack of sleep is killing me! X

Sorry to hear Oliver is restless at night. Maybe it's an Oliver thing. I've been up for an hour with this Oliver. It's tough when feeling so tired. Have you tried raising one end of his Moses basket? He isn't too hot? Last couple of nights have been warmer so Oliver is in 0.5 tog gro bag or I just put him in vest in slighter warmer bag. Can you feed him to sleep then let him stay on your lap until he is properly asleep before moving him? White noise? Hope something works and you both can get some sleep xxx

Been trying everything and he actually did sleep last night whoop!!
We tried swaddling which he liked but still managed to wriggle his arms free!
The bouncy chair is the one thing guaranteed to work so we put him in it until he was fast asleep and then transferred him to his basket.
We've raised one end of the basket too and we put him in a sleep suit with no legs cos of the heat.
We have to put socks on him or he really kicks off!
White noise does help too- his current fave is the blackbirds!
We've worked out tho that he's got colic so we'll be buying some Infacol today! X

Here's the photo I referred to but forgot to post. I blame new mummy brain lol! X

He finally slept!!! :) :) :)
Went down at 12:50 and didn't wake up until 5:45 for food, go Oliver :) xx

Gorgeous day today :)
We've been out and about- picked up some Infacol for Oliver and decided a BBQ for this evening was a good idea so got some bits for that too.
In laws been round for a cuppa and cuddles.
Currently chilling in the garden with hubby, Oliver and the dogs having a glass of cider :)
Hubby goes back to work on Tuesday (boo! :( ) which I'm kinda dreading as it's been lovely having him at home but I've gotta get used to it! X

Taking a nap in the garden <3 <img src="http://www.minimins.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=141508"/>

Awww looks like the money is watching him lol xx

Infacol- I love you!!!

Another good night from Oliver- fed at 11, bed at 12, slept until 2:45, fed and back asleep by 3:30 and awake at 6:15 for another feed.
He does seem a little bit cranky this morning- it took me until 8 to get him back to sleep and he was awake again at 8:30!
But HV is due at 9:30 so he'll be woken up then anyway.
After that, hopefully he'll sleep for a while as we are popping to Next for hubby to get a few things. It will no doubt also mean that we buy Oliver a few things too :)
I've got a hospital appt at 1:30, just for some physio on my tummy as after Oliver was born my tummy muscles separated so I've been doing some exercises and this physio is to help with them.
Must say, my tummy is shrinking nicely, I only have a slight mummy tummy now :)
Have a good day everyone x

You're going so well. I still have my mummy tummy. :-/

Yay for infacol, hopefully this will help. It sounds like you're doing great. Enjoy his littleness, all of a sudden my baby seems massive.

HV has been and my chunky monkey now weighs 9lbs 14oz!! X

Aww thanks, I'm sure my mummy tummy will be around for a while yet!
Hoping to rejoin SW once I've had 6 week check, but going to start trying to follow it at home first to make sure I'm motivated enough- I don't want to pay out for SW if I'm not gonna stick to it.

Infacol is fab- he doesn't like it at all, but we have his bottle ready and give it to him straight away so he doesn't get a chance to spit it out!

I'm going to hate it as he gets older- I think I'm happy for him to stay a newborn <3

Lovely day yesterday- we popped to Next so hubby could buy some clothes, managed to resist the baby clothes and then went to Costa for a coffee.
Little man needed a feed and change so he attracted a lot of attention :)
Oliver struggled to settle once home, think it's the heat, it's so stifling.
He finally fell asleep just after 1 this morning and slept through until 6 :)
Got the fan pretty much stationed on his basket at the moment, it's another hot day!
HV came yesterday, lovely lady, very happy with both of us and little chunk weighs 9lbs 14oz so they are very happy with that :)
Today hubby has gone back to work :(
Really enjoyed our 2 weeks as a family, it was fab and I will miss having him around :(
Going to venture out to Tesco today, will the first time on my own with my boy!
In other news, little man is now 2 weeks old and I now weigh 13st :)
Hubby is trying to be healthy now he's back at work and I shall be trying to.
Hoping I will be ready to rejoin SW in a few weeks :) x
