Kirsty's pregnancy and new Mummy diary- from 30 weeks onwards!

Busy busy busy here and I'm struggling... Not just with food but emotionally... I feel so drained, I'm not sleeping, I've had a lot to deal with lately and it's really taking its toll on me...
Went to doc last week and she ordered a blood test, needed one to recheck iron levels anyway so she ordered a full 'MOT' so to speak... Should get results on Wednesday...
Don't think there's anything wrong with me psychically, think its stress which is causing my depression to make a reappearance...
Anyway as you'll all remember, last week we had a little 'accident' that involved me needing to take the morning after pill... Was told it could delay my period (due on the 28th Nov)... Well 2 days late so far, getting all the cramps, etc and have had a little bit of spotting... Was so afraid that I actually took a pregnancy test yesterday (1 day late) and it said I'm not pregnant!
Phew! But I'm still not convinced.... I remember with Oliver, I had all the 'period' symptoms, I tested one day after I was due on and it was negative... And then 3 days later, I got my BFP!
Would love a second baby but it's so not the right time...
However, me being the emotional wreck I am lately, I was actually devastated to say 'Not pregnant' appear on the test... Such mixed emotions....

Food- I am so not following SW!! Really can't be bothered, esp so close to Xmas... Got one more week on my countdown and I think I'll have to stop going and rejoin in January as I don't actually have the money to go anymore this side of Xmas and If I'm not following the plan, it's a waste spending £5 a week just to be weighed!

Have has a lovely week celebrating my birthday, been spoilt rotten and have in turn, spoilt my little boy with more Xmas presents :)

Hope you are all well xx

Little man is now 19lbs 6oz at 27 weeks old- they say bubs are supposed to double their birth weight by 6 months- Oliver is way above that lol!!

He's also now rolling everywhere and just now I turned my back for one second (I was in the same room still!) and look where I found him!
Cheeky monkey! X

Another 1lb gain... But that's after 2 weeks, including my birthday, so not too bad...

Not bad at all I've gained more than that in a day. I hope you are feeling better. X

I'm ok thanks ladies

Sleeping isn't too bad, Oliver has had a couple of bad nights (teething) so that hasn't helped... My dog, Penny is going to be fine, it is cancer but a very common form that doesn't need treatment...
Me and Paul have been rowing a lot, over silly things really... And last night we had a massive row but it led to a really good talk and we're good now...
I'm also feeling ready to get back on track, want as much off before Xmas as poss to 'allow' for the inevitable gain x

Pleased to hear penny is going to be fine and things are good with Paul. Glad to hear you have your head back in the losing mind. If only I had. Hope oliver starts sleeping well again. Teething is horrible esp in the middle of the night. They must wonder what's going on :( x

Glad your dog is ok and you and Paul are ok x

Thanks x

Oliver has got into a habit of being wide awake anywhere between 5-6 for no reason!
Every morning, he's awake, making loads of noise... We just leave him to it, although this morning he started crying and it was cos he wanted his dummy and he had wedged himself up at the top of his cot lol!!
No idea why he does it, he just thinks it's playtime!
The annoying thing is I wake up when he does and even if he goes back to sleep, I remain awake.... He went back to sleep at 6:30 having woken at 5:45 and yet I'm wide awake, but so tired!
He normally wakes up around 8 for his milk so no point me even trying to sleep now!
He's almost crawling as well- he gets his arms and legs in the right positions but can't quite work it all out.
However he's rolling everywhere and whilst Paul was getting his bath ready the other night, Oliver rolled into our bedroom!!
I was on Oliver watch but it was so funny to see Paul's face when Oliver suddenly appeared in the room, giggling!
Little monkey! X

Ha ha bet Paul was shocked that he saw oliver. It is lovely when they become more independent but JeeZe so much more tiring trying to keep track of them. Wait til her crawls!

I always struggle to get back to sleep quickly. I feel your pain. Oliver was up at 5.40 today. He has gone for a nap at 8.52 though. I'm trying to get few jobs done although sitting with a cuppa now. Oh no oliver stirring arrrgggghh!

Yeh he was a little bit shocked! He's tiring now!
He loves rolling and I can't leave him alone on his playmat in his bedroom anymore, even just for a few seconds, as he can roll quite far in that time and I hear rustling!
The nappy bin got his interest the other day, then the changing table- I literally popped into our bedroom next door to grab a cardigan, came back and he was busy pulling everything off the bottom shelf!!!
He can sit up unaided really well now and for quite some time, which is fab :)

My Oliver has been a little sod today- had milk and breakfast, then I put him down at 10 for a nap, which is earlier than usual but he was rubbing his eyes, it took until 10:35 before he went to sleep, woke up after 15 mins with a wet nappy, which is fair enough. Dealt with it, put him back down at 11 ish and it took until 11:45 before he went off again!
He just keeps fighting it!
Can hear him moving about now...
Problem is he then has a mega nap in the afternoons- yesterday it was 2hr 15 mins!!
I don't mind that, but he didn't wake up until 5:15, had his dinner, bath and bottle, and at 8pm (his bedtime) he was wide awake and chirpy- took until 9 to get him to sleep!!!
X

Oliver has been a right little monkey today- had just 15 mins nap this morning and it wasn't through lack of trying!!
He just wouldn't settle... And that meant he was grumpy for his swimming lesson... And then wouldn't nap this afternoon... Well he had 20 mins but that's it...
Tonight he went to bed at 8:20 and has been awake once already, really crying... Dummy solved it but he never normally wakes up crying like that at this time of night... He is teething bad... Really red cheeks and lots of digesting nappies... Just hope he cuts them soon so he can have a break from teething... Hopefully... X

And oh I'm addicted to Cadbury whole nut... X

So... I've not really been sticking to SW this week, haven't even tried... My scales are currently reporting a 1.5lb gain, hoping I can make it a maintain by weigh in...
But I had a lightbulb moment this morning- I suddenly thought I don't want to be back in the 12's for Xmas, I want to look and feel good for all the photos etc etc...
So I've planned out the whole week's meals, etc starting from Thursday (weigh in day) and I'd love a loss next week!
Got nothing to stand in my way now...
I'm off my iron tablets now and I feel better for it...
Here's a selection of Oliver's latest photos:
