Squidgy Chocolate cake

Squidgy Chocolate Cake | Slimming Eats

Ingredients
9 syns for entire cake
6 large eggs seperated
1/2 cup of splenda (or other sweetener)
2 oz of cocoa powder (be sure to use real cocoa powder and not drinking chocolate etc)



Method
  • Preheat oven to 180c or 350f, spray a oven proof cake tin with non stick spray
  • Whisk the egg whites to the soft peak stage and set aside.
  • Then place the egg yolks in another mixing bowl and whisk until they start to thicken, then add the splenda and continue to whisk, but be careful not to let the yolk mixture get too thick.
  • Add the cocoa powder into the egg yolk mixture and if it starts to get too stiff, add a little of the egg white mixture.
  • Carefully fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture and then pour the mixture into the cake tin.
  • Bake the cake for approx 25 minutes until springy.Remove it from the oven but leave it in the cake tin to cool.
Variation
add 28g plain chocolate chips makes the cake 16 syns in total, 4 syns per slice. Makes it extra tasty cold the next day :)

it's a bit blurry but I think it does show it comes out cakey :) it was nice. will make again.

Pizza Pasta

Ingredients (serves 2 @ approx 5 syns per portion, 1 HEB and 2x HEA)
  • Pasta
  • Mushrooms (sliced and quickly fried in frylight so slighty cooked)
  • ham 85gx2 HEBx2
  • 2/3 Jar Dolmio cheese and tomato pasta sauce 9.5 syns
  • 4 x 42g mozarella HEA x4
Directions
  • Cook pasta
  • Stir in sauce
  • Arrange mushrooms and ham and mozarella on top so it looks like pizza
  • Bake in oven for 20 mins-ish so hot all way through and mozarella all lovely and melted
Serve with salad

I'm back! Had a good time- ate lots of bad things :p

I have weighed myself this morning and have gained 3Ib which (while not great) is not a bad as I expected. I have 12 days now until I get weighed at class so I am hoping to loose that and a little more by then.

I have lots of time this week (a few more days off of work :D yay) so I'm going to make lots of soups (speed soup and magic soup and maybe some tomato and red pepper soup) and have that for lunches and for taking to work when I go back and freeze the stuff I don't need straight away. Also going to make some 9syn chocolate cake again so i can have a nice filling treat for only a very few syns :) TBH though, because I've eaten sooo much while away, I really don't feel like eating anything much :p

I need to loose 4Ib per month to be near target by february which sounds very do-able but if you look at my monthly breakdown in my signature.. it's usually not that much. Must get a wiggle on! :p

Thanks valerie :) I am hoping it will come off soon. I need to loose 4Ib this month in order to be on track for being close to target by the time my wedding dress arrives in February time :eek:

Slimming World 'Magic Soup'

Magic Soup- free on EE and Original. Makes 4 decent sized portions.

2x chicken breast
227g/8oz mushrooms
3 large onions, chopped, chopped
1 can tinned tomatoes
2 pt water
2 veg stock cubes
seasoning

  • Put all ingredients in a large pan
  • Bring to boil the reduce heat and simmer for 30 mins
  • Remove from heat and then blitz with a hand blender.
  • If too watery simmer a while longer until desired thickness reached. I simmered an extra 10-15 mins.
Serve with HEB bread roll if desired but I find it filling enough without.
ps, I'm not sure what is 'magic' about this soup but it is tasty, quite filling and uses only speed foods :D
 
hi laura thanks for putting magic soup recipe on here was wondering how it was made, will make some tomorrow for my lunch need to get my act together haven't been 100% so am trying really hard this week to stick to plan am aiming for a 3lb loss this week :eek: hope ur ok

Today I have made a big batch of the 'speed food' soup (I have a LOT of soup in the freezer at the moment :p)

The plan is to have one of these soups for lunch everyday until the next weigh in- trying to get rid of the 3Ib gain and a bit extra :D

I'm gonna make a roasted pepper and tomato soup tomorrow so I have a vareity of soups :p
 
Spicey Ricey Chicken

ingredients
  • chopped onion
  • chopped pepper
  • frylight
  • tin of tomatoes
  • seasoning
  • 2 cloves crished garlic
  • cooked rice
  • cooked chicken breast
  • chilli powder
Instuctions
  • Fry onions and peppers with frylight
  • Add tomatoes, seasoning and chilli powder to taste
  • Add cooked rice and chicken
  • Simmer until heated through
 
Roasted pepper, leek and tomato soup

Ingeredients
  • 1x leek, sliced
  • 3x peppers, deseeded and chopped
  • 1x 500g carton of passata
  • seasoning, mixed herbs
  • 2x ven stock cubes
Instructions
  • spray leek and peppers with frylight and roast in oven for 25-30 mins until softened
  • add roasted veg to a large pan
  • add passata, seasoning, mixed herbs
  • simmer for 10-15 mins
  • blitz with a hand blender
i also added a little crushed chilli flakes 'cos I like my soup slightly spicy :)

Well, after having a week of bingeing trying to deal with stress at work I have crawled back on the wagon today. Again. I'm not sure the timing is great as I appear to have woken up with a cold. Typical. But I need to go forwards again. Onwards and downwards. Had a nice light day today: just some cereal, a tuna sandwich and a chicken stir-fry tonight. Really hoping to turn things around.

Going to WI tonight, see the damage and start making some baby steps to being back on track. Maybe not 100%... but better.
