lean mince

been having difficulty finding extra lean mince...so been using lean whats the syn value? ive been cooking with it and still loosing but i maybe counting syns wrong if there is a difference x

I assume it's beef mince you are talking about?

Extra lean (ie around 5% fat) is free, but lean (around 10% fat I think) is synned. Having said that it is quite low - 1/2 a syn per 28g if I recall, so you are only looking at a couple of syns a portion, and if you don't use all your syns then you won't go over.

And asda! Failing that get some lean beef from the butcher and ask him to trim the fat off and mince it for you.
