mod-karen79

rainbows holiday buddy :)
had a lovely dinner tonight so thought i'd share the recipe.

Ingrediants:
  • pasta (any dried type)
  • quorn bacon (0.5 syns per pack)
  • garlic
  • onion
  • mushrooms
  • half vegetable stock cube made up with hot water (all stock is now free)
  • 85g low fat soft cheese (philly light - use as a B choice)
  • frylight
  • 42g cathedral city light (B choice)
Instructions:
  1. Cook pasta and fry off the quorn bacon and mushrooms using frylight and set aside.
  2. fry garlic and onion in frylight for a few minutes then add the soft cheese and a small amount of stock - stir continuously. the cheese will melt into the stock to form a creamy sauce.
  3. Season to taste.
  4. add the mushrooms and quorn bacon to the sauce and combine with the drained pasta.
  5. top with grated :cheese:
  6. EAT!

Spaghetti Carbonara - to die for!!! :p

For some reason I went to post my recipe and it ended up in here lol, so have edited this post now and put it where it is supposed to go.

I have just made a carbonara too :)

Thanks for the recipe. Just worth noting that it would only be this syn value on the green plan.

:mad:Hi All,

Sorry to upset anyone but Philadelphia Light isn't a HE & its 2.5 syns per 35g so syns would be more than that listed

Philly Light is actually a HEB on green, that's why the syn value only applies to that plan. On EE you are right, you would need to syn it.
