Lisa's Weight loss Diary - 4st to Lose

Good luck for today:) The pancakes i was thinking of don't have oats and are syn free ...this recipe as such? <img src="http://www.minimins.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=163775"/>

I have never made those pancakes before i just always make the oat ones. I might give them a whirl if i ever get bored of the oat one :) x
 
Mixed weekend but overall not majorly bad.

Today's food:

B - Fruit & Yogurt
L - Jacket potato & Beans and Fruit
D - Either SW Fish & Chips or Mushroom & Spinach Cannelloni i just can't decide.
HE - Milk in Coffee and yet to decide on my B. Might have some alpen lights or might have some toast tonight.
Syns - Scan Bran Chocolate Cake (3 Syns)
 
Ohh that sounds lush, Mushrooms & Spinach Cannelloni! ...Just found it on SW website, I will defo be making that this week as OH doesn't like mushrooms :)
 
Had a gas leak at my house last night so had to get the gas men out and sort that so by the time all that was sorted it was like 8.30 at night and we ended up getting a chinese.... We both didn't enjoy it and felt poop afterwards. We commented that it was probably because we have been eating well recently :(

Wish i hadn't bothered wasting the syns now :(

Today's food

B - Fruit, yogurt & Alpen Lights
L - Jacket Potato with Bean and Fruit
D - I have absolutely no idea.... We have football tonight so i am setting off straight from work. I might take a mugshot to eat in the car on the way there. Football usually goes hand in hand with a pie at half time or a chippy afterwards but i am going to try my very best to resist :( x
 
:( don't beat yourself up over having a chinese. By the time you'd got things sorted and cooked it would have probably be well gone 9pm, it's just a shame that you didn't enjoy it.

Glad the gas leak is sorted xx
 
Couldn't get to weigh in again last night. Yesterday was a disaster. The snow was hell! I made an attempt to get to work with my friend but got halfway and admitted defeat and then went home. Couldn't get my car out to go to weigh in so i haven't weighed in for 2 weeks.

Kind of a blessing really considering how bad i have been the past few days.

We went to Liverpool to watch the football on Tuesday night..... I seem to have no willpower where football is concerned. We got a pie at half time and then on the way home stopped off for a kebab :doh: bad bad bad!!

I am finding it very hard at the moment to stay completely on plan.... The days i don't have the boys we very rarely stay in. I have sussed my standard days out, i have a meal plan and i rarely go off that plan, i am organised and have good days. The days i need to address are those where we don't have the boys and football.

I always have the best intentions for the days we don't have the boys but 9 times out of 10 we will pop to the pub for a bit after work and then go home and the intention is to cook tea. The majority of the time we can't be bothered cooking that late so i have decided on those days to prepare and have a stock of frozen meals in like curries so when we get in we can just bung one of those in the microwave and jobs a good en. Football is a little bit trickier because of time constraints. We usually don't have time to get food before setting off if it's a midweek game. I am going to have to start planning the night before and maybe take soup for half time and some low syn snacks like scan bran cake, or hifi bars ect.

I think the key is preparation! I know where i fail i just need to be more prepared to combat that.

Today's food

B - Fruit, yogurt and hifi bars
L - Chicken and Mushroom pasta and sauce & fruit
D - Chicken Supreme with rice and veg
HE - Hifi bar x 2 & milk in coffee
Syns - Scan Bran Cake x 2 (3), There will probably be some syns in my dinner but i have yet to work out them out. It wont be many and it definitely wont cause me to go over.

Heres to a good week where i am completely on plan. It shouldn't be too difficult this week because we don't have any football and it's my weekend to have the boys so the only night that may be a problem is sunday at Poker and that will be alcohol and not food related. I am going to try and stick to Vodka even though i'm not a massive fan in order to keep my syns low x

I like seeing pictures like that because sometimes you don't realise just how close you are to your goal until it is written like that. When i stick to plan 2lb is extremely doable as i get good losses so to think i could reach my first proper target by July is very motivational :) x
 
Thursday's Food

Yesterday i had every intention for my day to be an Extra Easy day but in the end it turned out to be a green day.

B - Fruit, yogurt and hifi bars
L - Chicken and Mushroom pasta and sauce & fruit
D - Changed from Chicken Supreme with rice and veg to Mushroom, spinach, ham and cheese omelette with chips and veg.

Syns - Scan Bran Cake x 1 (1.5), Extra ham in Omelette (3)

I was very happy with my day yesteday, i decided to change my tea option because i really couldn't be bothered cooking anything so an omelette was a nice easy option. It made a nice change to just have something nice and simple.

OH came home with a bottle of wine each but i refused because i wanted to stay completely on plan :)

I am only working half day today so i haven't planned any dinner yet. I will probably grab a pasta and sauce when i get home. Looks like it could be the chicken supreme we was going to have last night for tea tonight.

Sounds silly but what is ham milk in coffee & cheese?!!

Well done you for staying on plan, it's awesome to feel so determined isn't it? weird my OH doesn't usually drink that often but last night he also had a few beers and shorts, I nearly caved and had one but thought I'd just be having Syns for having Syns!
 
Sorry there should have been some punctuation in there to seperate lol It was supposed to read Ham, Milk and Cheese :) 2A choices and 2 Bs :)

I wouldn't really say i'm a daily drinker and would most definitely class myself as a binge drinker (not bad just the classification i suppose i am given) I don't see any worth in a couple after work kind of thing to relax like alot of people do. For me, drink is there to get drunk and if i'm not then i might as well have diet coke. I think that is another area that has changed recently. My OH is the kinda of person who likes a couple after work to relax and i think i have kinda been dragged into it alittle bit. I can take or leave alcohol and i'm quite happy to go out for a few after work and just have diet coke but haven't recently. I am going to cut that out now because it's wasting syns for no benefit really x
 
Haha, don't worry I thought as much but wanted to check!

I agree, I tend to drink to get drunk... Though a glass of wine with dinner is lovely. I usually end up drinking the whole bottle!

I was very pleased as I thought about the syns before I had it and thought better of it - this is unheard of with alcohol!!

I haven't really synned much for days and I am feeling much more positive about it all now :) hope you have a lovely weekend, I'm currently watching footy with the OH whilst the dog is asleep on my lap!
 
Today has been a good SW day and another 100% on plan :)

Friday's food

B - Alpen Light, Cherries and an apple

L - I had a latelunch today because I took the boys to the playgym after work. I decided on cheese, leek and ham pasta and sauce with extra ham (1 Syn)

I have a pretty uneventful weekend this weekend so I will be doing some batch cooking for the freezer mi thinks. First thing will be sausage casserole and carrot and coriander soup. My big shop is arriving tomorrow nght so I will probably be doing some more on Sunday too.

I am the same with alcohol too, can take it or leave it, while OH likes some wine of an evening to 'chill out' so he says :)
But i sometimes like a drink on a fri/sat night and it's usually a few!....enough to 'feel the effects!:D'
 
Saturday was another day completely on plan :) i even made some sausage casserole and carrot and coriander soup for the freezer. Im hoping this focus and motivation sticks around because im really enjoying it :)

Saturday's food

B - SW oat pancakes with strawberries, blueberries and banana
L - pasta and sauce with extra ham (1 syn)
D - sausage casserole with sweet potato mash and veg (2 syns as recipe has red wine in)

The sausage casserole was absolutely yum and one ill definitely be making again. I have 2 portions left to freeze but im tempted to have it again for tea tonight :)

I have made myself some scan bran cake this morning. I realised that last time i made it i must have been having a blonde day because i put the whole packet of scan bran in thinking that they had all just broken in half :doh: no wonder it didn't taste too cracking lol i made the curly wurly version this morning so looking forward to trying that.

OH offered to make dinner today but i initially refused saying i wanted to stay completely on plan but he says he is going to make a SW friendly full english so we shall see.

Well yesterday was sort of on plan...... i had a good day foodwise, Oat pancakes for breakfast and a SW full english for lunch. We then took OH son back to his mums which is an hr and half drive away, had no tea and went straight out when we got back.

Good foodwise but BAD alcohol wise. I'm guessing i probably had about 40 syns in alcohol last night :doh:

O well i have been very good so far this week so i think i can chalk yesterday up to a flexible syn day.

Don't know whether i have mentioned but i am a constant weigher. I weigh myself pretty much everytime i'm in the bathroom. For some people this can have a negative effect but it doesn't with me. If i'm looking like i'm not losing i try extra hard and if i am losing it just motivates me to carry on and have a super good loss. Well the point to me telling you that was, until yesterday i was looking at a 2lb loss but i hopped on this morning and i'm now at a STS. I'm guessing that is due to some alcohol bloat so i'm not reading too much into it just yet.

Monday's Planned Grub

B -
Muller light (1syn), fruit and 1 x alpen light (3 syns)
L - Homemade carrot and coriander soup with a wholemeal teacake (HEb)
D - I still have some sausage casserole left so i'm thinking about having that for tea (2syns)

Hea - Milk in coffee throughout the day
Heb - Wholemeal teacake
Snack - Curly wurly scan bran cake x 2 (3 syns)

Total syns planned for the day = 9

Just worked out how many syns i had in alcohol last night and it was 43.5!!! :doh:

Then checked back on my week so far and because i only use minimal syns on a regular daily basis i think i will be fine.

The weekly count so far is 55/105, 4 days into the week would have given me 60 so i think last nights binge will be well and truely covered! x
