Thought id share a few recipies i found and they are yummy :p

Herby Quorn Cottage Pie

Syns per Serving | Green - Syn Free**
Servings | 4
** Add 3 Syns per serving if not using the cheese as part of a Healthy Extra choice


Ingredients
- Fry Light
- 300gm Quorn mince
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3tsp dried mixed herbs
- 1 beef Oxo cube, made up to ½pt with boiling water (1 Syn)
- 1tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 2tsp tomato puree
- 227gm (8oz) frozen mixed vegetables (broccoli florets, baby carrots, peas, sweetcorn, red pepper)
- 680gm (1½lb) mashed potato
- 85gm (3oz) reduced fat Cheddar, grated (12 Syns – or use as Healthy Extra choice)



Method
1. Pre-heat the oven to 200C, 400F, Gas Mark 6


2. Spray a large saucepan with Fry Light and fry the onion for 4-5mins until starting to brown. Add the Quorn mince & fry for a further 2-3mins.

3. Stir in 2tsp of the mixed herbs, the stock, Worcestershire sauce, tomato puree and vegetables. Bring to the boil, stirring.

4. Transfer to an ovenproof dish. Mix the remaining 1tsp mixed herbs into the mashed potato & use to top the mince. Sprinkle with the cheese.

5. Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden.

Quorn Lasagne

Servings | 2 (Very large servings)
Syns Per Serving | Green – 2 ½*
* Add 6 Syns if not using the Cheddar cheese as a Healthy Extra



Ingredients
- Fry Light
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1tsp EPC Very Lazy Garlic or 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 110gm (4oz) button mushrooms, sliced (optional)
- 300gm Quorn mince
- 500gm carton passata
- 1tbsp dried mixed Italian herbs
- Salt & pepper
- 6 dried lasagne sheets
- 38gm sachet Morrisons Instant Cheese Sauce mix (5 Syns)
- 85gm (3oz) reduced fat Cheddar cheese, grated



Method
1. Pre-heat oven to 200C / 400F / Gas Mark 6.

2. Heat a large pan sprayed with Fry Light, add the onion, garlic and Quorn and fry until soft.

3. Add the mushrooms (if using), passata, seasoning and herbs. Stir well, bring to the boil and then reduce to a simmer for 5 minutes.

4. Layer half of the Quorn mixture into the bottom of a lasagne dish and cover with 3 sheets of lasagne. Repeat the layers.

5. Make up the cheese sauce mix with boiling water as per the packet instructions. Add half of the grated cheese to the cheese sauce. Pour the cheese sauce over the top of the lasagne & sprinkle with the remaining cheese.

6. Transfer the lasagne dish to the oven and bake for 30 minutes until the topping is golden brown.

7. Serve immediately with Syn-free potato wedges and a green salad.




Syn-free potato wedges: -
Pre-heat the oven to 220C / 425F / Gas Mark 7. Cut potatoes into six wedges (or eight if the potatoes are particularly large). Spray a roasting tin with Fry Light and add the potato wedges. Sprinkle with Schwartz Season-all or barbeque seasoning, and spray with more Fry Light. Transfer the roasting tin to the top shelf of the oven for 15 minutes. When the lasagne is ready to go into the oven, reduce the heat to 200C / 400F / Gas Mark 6 and move the wedges down to the next shelf, placing the lasagne on the top shelf. Cook for a further 30 minutes, until the wedges are golden and crisp.

Balti Quorn Stir-fry

Syns per Serving | Original – 5½
Green – 3½

Servings | 2



Ingredients
- Fry Light
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 carrot, cut into strips
- 300g Quorn pieces
- 2 tbsp balti curry powder
- 100g (3½oz) peas (3½ Syns – Original)
- 295g Campbell's Condensed 99% Fat Free Chicken Soup (7½ Syns)
- 200ml (7 fl.oz) water



Method
1. Heat a large frying pan sprayed with Fry Light, and stir-fry the onion, carrot and Quorn pieces for 5 minutes.

2. Sprinkle over the curry powder and stir-fry for a further 2 minutes.

3. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes, or until cooked through, stirring occasionally.

4. Serve with a selection of Syn-Free vegetables. Alternatively, serve with rice, remembering to add the extra Syns if following the Original Plan.

Quorn & Pasta Bake

Servings | 4
Syns Per Serving | Green – ½ Syn**
** Add 3 Syns per serving if not using the cheddar as a Healthy Extra option



Ingredients
- 175gm (6oz) pasta shapes
- Fry Light
- 300gm Quorn mince
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2tsp EPC Very Lazy garlic or 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 400gm can chopped tomatoes
- 2tbsp tomato puree (1 Syn)
- 1 beef stock cube (1 Syn)
- 150ml (¼pt) water
- 85gm (3oz) reduced calorie cheddar, grated



Method
1. Cook the pasta in boiling, salted water until tender. Drain.

2. Fry the Quorn mince, onion and garlic in a large saucepan sprayed with Fry Light for 4-5 minutes. Add the tomatoes, puree, stock cube and water. Bring to the boil, stirring occasionally. Simmer for 15 minutes.

3. Stir in the pasta and heat through. Transfer to a heatproof dish, sprinkle with the cheese and place under a pre-heated grill until golden.

Quorn & Vegetable Stir Fry

Syns per Serving | Green & Original -3½
Servings | 4


Ingredients
- Fry Light
- 300gm (10½ oz) Quorn pieces
- 300g (10oz) Syn-free stir-fry vegetables
- 295g can Campbell's Condensed 99% Fat Free Tomato Soup (13 Syns)
- 200ml (7fl.oz) water
- 2.5ml (½tsp) chilli powder
- 15ml (1 tbsp) chopped fresh coriander



Method
1. Heat a large frying pan sprayed with Fry Light and stir-fry Quorn pieces for 10 minutes.

2. Add vegetables and stir-fry for 5 minutes.

3. Stir in soup, water and chilli powder and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4. Stir in coriander and serve.

5. Serve with noodles or rice, remembering to add the extra Syns on an Original day.

My heads a bit slow as its too busy counting calories hehe!!
 
loads of quorn meals

These are just what i was looking for, on a bit of a slippery slope at the mo and wanted to start a fresh with some new ideas as i don't normally use quorn
