Looking for online buddies

Hi all

I restarted with SW last week for what I really hope is the last time!

I could really do with some online dieting friends as I am currently off work on the sick, and have spent the last few weeks sitting around and eating the wrong things.

6 weeks ago I was in hospital having had 2 brain haemorrhages, which obviously came as quite a shock! Now I am making a really good recovery, but this is going to take some time.

I haven't smoked since, but it's now time to improve my diet and reduce the weight.

Obviously I'm not able to do much exercise to help, and I'm not planning on pushing that yet, so that does give me quite a lot of computer time!

Soooo, I rejoined last Thursday and started on the Friday. I haven't been perfect for one reason or another, but I think I'm doing ok.
I have been truthful on my food diary sheet though.
I know I'm going to be in this for the long haul and not any kind of quick fix, so I'm not letting the slip ups ruin my day or week, but recording them truthfully and trying to adjust accordingly.

Anyway, waffling now lol

If anyone fancies a chat, would love to hear from you.

Hi hun, sorry to hear about your recent health issues, but well done on stopping smoking and taking steps to a healthier new you! I'm sam and I'm 27 years old, I had my first baby four and a half months ago and having lost the pregnancy weight I'm now concentrating on shifting the rest of the weight that built up over the eight years before I got pregnant. I've been going to slimming world 11 weeks today (got weigh in tonight) and up to now, not including today, I've lost 1 stone 11lbs on plan (3 stone 4lbs in total since I had jack) and I'm looking to lose another 3 stone 4lbs so last week I was exactly half way to my end target of 10 and a half stone which will bring me into the healthy BMI range. I'm losing weight because I have decided it's time, I want to be able to run around and play with jack once hes more active, and there's no way I could have at the weight I was. Plus I am getting married next year on 31st august and I am determined to get into a size 12 wedding dress! Hoping to reach my target early in the new year so that I can go wedding dress shopping and see what styles suit me with my new skinny shape :)

Good luck in the weight loss hunny and I'm happy to support you on here, I'm on quite often when I'm feeding jack, especially in the middle of the night! Xx

Hi Lippy, Sorry to hear about your health issues, but well done for making changes! I was rushed to hospital a few months ago with a brain infection (virus), which was very scary. I recovered pretty quickly, but I totally understand what you mean about it being a shock to the system!! I just restarted last Wednesday and like you have not been 100%, but have been ok so keeping fingers crossed for a loss this week's WI, and trying to do better for the next one!! Anyway, happy to buddy up if you like!

He is wonderful to look after and usually so happy and smiley, but he's been suffering with his teeth today bless him.

I do mostly green or extra easy. I don't miss meat as I use my HEB for it on green days and as I'm still breastfeeding I have to have 4 HEA and 4HEB's a day on green and red or 3 of each on extra easy. Even when I have to cut down I think I'll prefer green as I much prefer my potatoes and pasta etc to meat so will probably continue green or extra easy. I do have the odd red day, but bein in maternity leave it's too expensive to eat loads of meat in one sitting, so only do them now and again xx

So sorry to hear about your illness but glad you are on the mend. You will get loads of useful tips and info on here and all the best to you. S W is definately the best way to go in my opinion, I myself have been at target nearly 12 months, got to target July 2011 then reset by a few lbs in the November. You will do this just keep bobbing on here for support :)
