I don't use measurements so you need taste as you go along. I just chop up a bag of parsnips and a large onion, place in a saucepan with a couple of garlic cloves and then I added 4 knorr chicken/vegetable stock cubes, 2 teaspoons of curry powder and some black pepper cover with water, bring to the boil and simmer for about 25/30 mins. Liquidise until smooth, taste and see if it needs more seasoning, curry powder more stock or even watering down a bit! When I'm not dieting I usually add some cream but, this really isn't needed. Let me know how you get on if you have any additions that improve the taste?

What fantastic results everyone's having, i did the Cambridge diet a couple of years ago and it was pure torture, expensive, it made me ill, my breath stank and I couldn't socialise so very anti social! You guys are just proving how it is possible to eat well and still lose weight!

Can I join in as well. I have 5 stone to lose. My daughter and I both started a week ago and I've lost 6 lbs so far. It's been a great week.

Wowzers!!! Theres some amazing losses going on in the room tonight!!! Anna vixen you are indeed on your way to 'vixenness' and MH2B you will be an absolute stunner in your wedding dress....BETTER in fact than the lady in the picture!!!

Just had steak and SW chips for dinner with a salad as my 1/3. it was completely delicious!!

Im going to have a sneaky weigh in on Sat morning at Boots then decide if I am going to keep popping along to class or not.

I am a bit worried I havent had enough to eat for the last 2 days due to being busy....hope that doesnt affect my weight loss.
 
LessofLou, if you can, fight the temptation to weigh yourself somewhere else.

Your dinner sounds yum, i had a extra easy day and made spag bol, howevever no salad (tut, i ran out of lettuce).

Do you feel that you haven't been eating enough or have you felt hungry?
 
No Ive not been hungry at all, but yesterday just a banana for breakfast. Soup bowl of leftover stirfry and a ham salad sandwich. Today pepper and onion frittata with baked beans for a late breakfast then my tea (milk in tea HEA both days) no HEb yet today....just not had the time!!!!!!!!!!!!


PS I did officially start the diet last Sat but only got to the class on Tues....please can I weigh at Boots....just this once?
 
Almost 10st to lose over here! Went to my first group on Monday and am throwing myself in to it wholeheartedly. Am actually quite looking forward to weighing in on Monday as I have decided I won't (yet) be doing it more than once a week. Can't see myself having lost anything worthwhile in 3 days, but hopefully by Monday I will have!

You will definitely get to goal if you just stick to the plan 100%, do you have a goal in mind, either weight or timewise?

I think my ultimate target is 10.5 stone. That would put me right in the middle of the 'healthy' BMI range! That's really a long term goal. I'd love to get to 12 stone, which I should be able to achieve... It's going to be a long term thing though... No quick fixes, unfortunately! Oh, what wouldn't I give for a magic pill that would take all the excess away!

Hi. I started on 2nd Jan and have 6 stone to lose. Doing SW easy but feel disappointed have only lost 5.5lbs - expected to lose more as am a bigger girl. Am I being unrealistic??
