I think using an exercise bike is the best answer.... doesn't have to be an upright with the narrow seat... a mini-cycle that stands infront of the armchair will work as well and cost less. As long it's one with a tension knob. 20 mins everyday can work wonders. Or just walking, not strolling, fast enough to be cardio...... and thats free. (If you got a pedometre you could join the league that Dizzy runs and post your step count everyday... gets a bit of competitive spirit and support going. :)
