Low Carb Shakes

Hi

Has anyone used any low carb shakes that actually taste reasonable??

I didn't get on well with slim fast... mind you that was years ago as it seemed to trigger a sugar craving for me.

Any suggestions would be greatly recieved... Oh & low in calories too!

Hi, Slimfast are not low carb- they have alot of sugar in them.
Tesco do an own brand low carb control shake in strawberry or chocolate that are quite good, or you could buy protein powder, and make your own, with anything you want added in! I make a peanut butter one that's divine! HTH

Yes, I found Slimfast too sugary and it was knocking me out of ketosis, so I bought the whey protein shakes from Holland & Barratt in strawberry, chocolate and vanilla and mixed my remaining SF shakes in with them to prevent throwing them away! The SF makes the protein shakes taste nicer, and the low carb protein shakes lowers the carb content of the SF!

Works for me, and much cheaper than CD.

I have discovered that you can't use the vanilla one to whiten black coffee like I did on CD though - the whey curdles into a lumpy mess!
