The knorr stock pots are great, 2 chicken ones, 2 heads of celery, ground black pepper, bit of xanthen gum for thickening, cook and whizz - loads and loads of yummy soup
...I really really want soup. I am really afraid of making it though. I've only ever had tinned Heinz tomato soup but would like to try a cheese and veg type maybe, or a chicken type... I don't think I'd like celery in a soup though.
Hi Rosebug. I made a chicken and celery soup last night.
Boiled chicken, celery and a few mushrooms in the chicken stock. Seasoned with salt and pepper and then blitzed in the processor. It is very low carb and very yummy! Xx
No I can't lol it is very very chickeny which is nice. You can always leave it out or add a small onion etc. I boiled a whole chicken (minus the breasts) I'm chicken stock and 3 sticks of celery and salt and pepper. Once cooked I blitzed it x
Did you boil the chicken carcass whole or take all the bits of chicken off the carcass and boil those? Or boil a raw chicken and then pick the bits off and blitz them? Or did you not blitz the chicken bits?
Lol I took the legs off and wings off then split the remaining carcass in two so that it fit in my saucepan. Boiled the life out of it lol until the chicken fell off the bone. I took the chicken out of the broth and let it cool. I then removed all the meat off the bone and put it back in the broth containing the vegetables then blitzed it until smooth. Hope that helps xx
lol, all the different names for them. I always cook with scallions now. They have 2.8g of carbs for 100g, compared with onions which is 9.9g. Big diference! :O
