Low carb, what can I eat, do you recommend any books/diets?

I am going to try a very low carb diet, can anyone please help me, what can I eat? When I am really hungry is there anything I can eat an abundance of? How many carbs should I aim for?
Are there any good diet books that are aimed at carb restriction?

Hi Happy, there are some brilliant books out there about low carb diets. James Duigans clean and lean books are brilliant in particular. Also 'Marks Daily blueprint' website has a paleo/primal shopping list which fits well into the low carb lifestyle and is a handy tool. Good luck!

Terri Ann 123 diet is a really good low carb diet, she has her own website and Facebook group well worth giving it a go

I read Dr John Briffa's "Escape the Diet Trap" which explains why low carb is so good. He backs it up with lots of scientific papers so very convincing.

Not much info on recipes, just general list of what to eat freely, what to eat in moderation and what to avoid.

I am just eating very plain food for the first couple of weeks and then am going to try more interesting recipes.
