Low Fat Chili Con Carne

I just love chili but the bought, n home made one is so full of fat so I made my own recipe up. Adjust it, like all recipes to your own choice, read the tins carefully, the ones I have used are from Aldi's and like Lidl's their own brands are far lower in fat than the better know ones!

If you don't like Quorn or vegetarian Mince why not try Chicken or turkey mince readily available in most supermarkets.

Adjust the bean contents as YOU like, I love kidney beans so I put 2 tins in, I put one tine of baked beans in for the sweetness but you can use sweet corn instead.

Bulk it out with as much veg as you like or even make an all veggie one :checkmark green:

Just chuck all the ingredients in a pan, bring up to simmer and cook slowly, ideal for a Crock Pot!

200g Quorn or Vegetarian Mince = 215 cal. 5.60 fat
400g Chopped Toms with Herbs = 80 c 1.20 f
240g Tinned red kidney in brine =500 c 3.00 f
425g Baked Beans =350 c 2.60 f
250g New Potatoes
Roughly chopped =200 c 1.00 f
360g 2 x Red Onions
Roughly chopped = 130 c 0.80 f
300g ½ Jar of Chili shop sauce = 300c 2.00 f
Seasonings, Inc. 2 x Beef = 60c 2.00f
Stock cubes
1 tsp. Crushed Garlic = 15 c

Total =1850 calories and 18.20 fat
For an enormous pot, enjoy :D

I also add 2 sticks of celery finely chopped & a lrg carrot finely chopped. Just bulks it out a bit & adds to ur 5 a day x
