Hi Mancbird - just seen your TT ticker and it made me smile! Thought you might like to see some pics from the GB40 concert - was too excited when the lads joined GB on stage to take many pics but here are some others! It was an amazing night and I can not wait for the tour - One of my goals is to get into a tour t-shirt, not sure if I will make it by then or not but fingers crossed!

Ha ha ha - NOPE! a mere 5'3" but it is amazing how high my arm can reach, standing on tip toe, when it needs to get good pics! Also helps when you have a camera with a 12x optical zoom :D

Oh, we were also on a bit of the stalls that was raised up above the main area ;)

No probs, glad you like them. I was right at the back and had to stand on tip toe to see anything believe it or not! The photos are taken holding the camera above everyone else and their cameras (or trying to).

ARGHGHGHGHGHGGGHHHHH!!!

So I have ramped up the exercise massively over the last 2 days with a 15k cycle and Zumba last night... I've also had a mountain of pasta over the last 2 days on Green... and thought "I know, I will jump on the scales for a sneaky peek" late last night...

They showed 6lbs ON!!!!

I know that home scales fluctuate and mine are always wrong, I haven't put that much on at all, I weighed again (really, I need to get a life) this morning and showed a maintain... so who knows...

NEED TO STOP JUMPING ON THE SCALES AFTER EVERY MOUTHFUL!!

Grrrrrr.
 
mine show 7.5lbs on this morning and weigh in is on Thursday - oooops!!! I hate home scales and am not going to use mine for as long as i can manage now! want to join me hun??

I try to avoid my home scales as they never show anything like what the scales at class. TBH the only time I weigh myself at home now if just a few mins before I leave for class lol and even then it can still be loads out!

Easier said than done hun, I'm a total scales addict! On them every morning like clockwork. Used to be morning and night though so it's an improvement ;-) Good luck with giving them up.
 
I always weigh less in the mornng tho so it's a catch 22 cos my WI isn't til evening, by which time I've gained half a stone!!
 
I hate that!!! I always weigh so light in the morning!! Good job I'm not a home weigher, I would prob weigh once in the evening, then weigh in the morning a week later and claim a 7lb loss!!

I am really going to try not to jump on... but its sooooooo hard!!

I usually jump on just before class so I know which face to do when the woman tells me the loss or gain... Princess Di innocent face..."A gain... oh no! I stuck to it 100%, how can this happen"... or David Cameron smug face... "A loss... well, rightly so, I worked very hard"...

Hi All

Would you mind if I joined your thread. I keep reading it and you all sound so friendly with each other and seem to have the same struggles at times as everyone does on diets.

I had my first WI last night having joined SW for first ever time last week and was so disappointed to only lose 2.5lb. :( I had stuck to it 100% and was hoping she was going to say a massive amount. I will keep on track this week though and hope it catches up next week. It is disheartening though. I was doing weight watchers up until then and my leader did say it can take your body a while to get used to eating so much food from not so much food! Any tips for keeping me focused - even though it's only week 2!

I really am not joining ANY slimming club again - this is it this time! I will be a yummy mummy for summer 2011.

Hey SB - this is MBs thread, but we all pitch in with wit and enthusiasm so I'm sure she won't mind another!!

Well done on the first loss, 2.5lb is good, I only lost 1lb on my first and 2nd week. Thankfully lost 2.5lb last week so that gave me the boost to keep going, not that I was planning giving up, it just sucks when it goes so lowly. I want to be able to start seeing and feeling a difference, but it ain't happening yet.

I'd say maybe try to set some mini targets - an outfit you want to get into, or an occasion you have planned, we are all talking about being skinny by Take That in June - but I'm hoping to notice something sooner than that lol. Think of the end result - that's what is keeping me going at the moment :D xx

Thanks for your reply. Haven't done a diary as yet. Not sure I'd like everyone reading mine but I like reading everyone else's - nosey like that!

I think you're right about setting small targets. I think that's where I failed at WW cos if i had a bad week I just wrote the diet off totally and then never went back only to re-join a few weeks later, a few pounds heavier!

I'm just gonna take it half a stone at a time I think. My main target is to be a dam sight slimmer than I am now for summer and enjoy the summer for once rather than covering up. Then buy myself loads of nice new summer clothes for my trip away with mates in September. 10 of us, all married with kids, just chilling out for 4 days in a villa with a pool - no kids or husbands - just ourselves to think about - HEAVEN!! I WILL BE SLIM FOR THEN. This is my promise to myself.
