Hi there, dont know if anyone can help, i really fancy egg sandwiches for lunch tomorrow as never normally have bread, i dont have any mayo though, does anyone know if i could use yogurt or fromage frais instead or would this just taste too wierd with egg?! thanks in advance! x

...only one way to find out! Let us know ;)

sounds interesting, let us know what its like!

How about quark?? (or is that just TOTALLY bonkers lol!!)

To be honest the extra light one by Hellmans is so low in syns that it easier just to use that!

Only half a syn for a tbsp!

Yes, obviously, but she doesnt have any at home :p

Yes, I used to mix in quarter tsp of tikka powder or curry powder into tbsp natural yogurt and then break the eggs up into it and spread onto bread, it's delicious.

Also do the natural yogurt with chilli powder or chilli flakes and cut up chicken into it and onto bread - scrummy

This sounds yum i might have to try this!! :) Thanks for the replies! x

Some makes of quark (specifically a small circular tub I got fro mozzers today!) are a thinner consistencey, a bit like stiff yogurt!! Perhaps that would be good!! Although if you don't have Mayo, you're unlikely to have a specific brand of quark!!

Ignore me!!

:)

Well i tried it with yogurt...and had no tikka powder so used some garam masala, i licked the bowl last nite and seemed good so fingers crossed my sarnies are good day :) thanks!

Right, as were talking about egg Mayo.... I love it best when the eggs are warm, whereas my friend thinks that's grim and the eggs have to be cold! What do you prefer?

Good good, glad you side with me!
Oh a warm egg sarnie followed by a cream scone (I've been watching the bake off) I love a bit of food porn!

Have u tried Creme Fraiche ?
I use that to replace my mayo (but in meals)
