meal ideas

Can anyone give me ideas on snacks or sandwiches for work? I work 12 hour shifts and normally take porridge or cereal for breakfast and a cup-a-soup for dinner, leaving me starving by the time I get home =/
Any ideas on sandwiches etc will be appreciated, thanks :)

Hiya,

I'm a shift worker too, know how hard it can to be good in work and keep nice and full:sigh:.
Here's what I bring for snacks:

Chopped mixed fruit salad ( prepare at home yourself, much fresher and tastier than shop bought)
Low points yogurts
Banana (always good for filling a gap)
Snack a jacks
WW bars ( great with a cup of coffee)
Zero point home made soup

Also, try bulking up your dinner. I find stir frys great. Use loads of free point veg, and if you want some low point protein add a couple of the quorn fillets - 2pp (the white ones). Add 60g rice and a dash of soy sauce and you have a really filling, yet low point dinner, and it'll keep you going for ages.

For sandwiches, a couple of slices of ww thick brown bread, filled with low mayo, salads, tiny bit of grated cheese. Have this with some zero point soup, really fills you.

Elle86 im similar to you. I work 5.30-10.30pm but have to leave to drop kids off about 3.30 so dont have x 4 dinner. I dnt get a tea break so when i get home at 11pm im starving and i eat what i can get my hands on!
