tomatoes are quite high in carbs.
u will only get the pleasure for about a minute while u are eating hun, and then comes the guilt, and then comes the crap wi. xx
That's the thing I don't understand about a bunch of people here - when they say it.
Guilt? For a tomato and some meat?
If you are feeling GUILT for stuff like this then maybe talk to your counsellor?
I don't think this is supposed to be an endless guilt train, is it?
If it is, I am not going to hang out 'round here any more.
People are supposed to eat food. People are NOT supposed to OVEReat food.
Why should someone feel guilty for some meat and tomato and tomatoes DO NOT have that many carbs!
1 chocolate shake (that's the kind I have to hand) contains just over 14 carbs.
1 average sized tomato has 5.7 carbs, but also 1.4 grams of fibre, so the carbs he would be stuck with would be 4.3 and as meat is usually <1 - he'd be looking at around 5-7 carbs at the absolute most, if say the turkey was marinated or something - as opposed to a smidge over 14.
So yeah. The shake is actually more carbs than the tomato.
WitchyAnne - Irrelevant. This diet is a Total Food Replacement diet. You replace the food totally. If anyone doesn't understand this then LT isn't the correct diet for them.
You feel guilty because you've broken the diet. At £36 per week if I'm gonna cheat I'm gonna feel guilty afterwards for having wasted my money.
Do this diet or don't. Do not make a half-assed attempt at it because you will have minimal weight losses and then become down about it, thus leading to further eating and weight gain. Simple.

i'm with ya vickie. I know from my Lt experience when i cheat i feel guilty for letting myself down i dont need a counciler i need a kick up the arse xxBecause LT is 100% food replacement - so when you have times where you don't stick to (which i have) then you are not sticking to the diet which we first started up. You're right in that people should eat but just not overeat, but if any of us actually had any self control then we wouldn't be in the situations that we are in now. So, by doing LT you gain yourself self control in which you can then go back to eating after re-training your mind and therefore not overeating.
Now, to be quite frank - what any of us feel after not sticking to LT is everyones personal choice and not for YOU to judge, whether that be guilt, happiness, relief or whatever.
This forum is for people to speak their minds and to give opinions when people ask questions, and thats what they are, opinions from MY personal experience!!!!!
p.s. wtf have i started here. Was only asking a question lol
thanx hun i dont want the meat i just wondered why the chemist had said it when its a total food replacement programme (i say programme cos i hate the word 'DIET') I havn't eaten any food since monday. To be honest last week i was really struggling to get into it but yesterday and today its been easy i'm not even bothered about food i think putting the 3lbs on has given me the kick up the arse i needed. And i think its all to do with the way your mind works and whether you're comitted to this or not and i'v turned a corner on where i'v decided i am comitted i do want to reach my target and if i cheat i'l never get there. xxJust think about ya goal hun. The 3 months i was on LT was the hardest but once i got into my size 12's with no muffin top ha ha i knew it was worth it. Its the maintaining that is the hardest i now hit the gym at least twice a week and swim for an hour once a week also the food i eat now ive had to change from before. You can do it without meat ha ha just think how much longer its gonna take thats what kept me going xxxx
