    Menu ideas for shifting weight

    Breakfast:
    · Top a bowl of porridge with a handful of fresh berries and some grapefruit segments
    · Have a poached or lightly boiled egg with a slice of wholemeal bread
    · Toast a wholemeal muffin, top with banana slices and sprinkle with cinnamon
    · Make a smoothie with half a banana, 2 tablespoons of cooked cold porridge, skimmed milk and a good sized pinch of cinnamon.
    Lunch:
    · Make a salad with sliced pear, walnuts and baby salad leaves
    · Pile low-fat cottage cheese onto two peach halves (tinned in juice or fresh), serve with a large green salad and two rye crispbreads
    · Tope wholemeal crispbreads with low-fat cottage cheese and finely chopped celery
    · Stir a chopped pear and a pinch of cinnamon into low-fat cottage cheese and eat with crispbreads.
    Dinner:
    · Brush a white fish fillet with curry paste and bake or grill
    · Marinade a chicken breast in 2 tablespoons of low-fat natural yoghurt and a teaspoon of curry powder for half an hour, then bake
    · Top a white fish fillet with finely chopped spring onion, tomato, courgette and celery and a teaspoon of parmesan cheese, and bake
    · Stir a handful of baby spinach or salad leaves into stews and stir-fries just before serving.
