Mia01101 - the diary....

    Day one in the Cambridge Diet house....

    Start off the day with 500mls of water....drank this on the way into work....

    In work, started sipping my Chocolate Tetra....took me near on 20 minutes to drink it(note to self, a straw helps prolong everything!!) Then another 600mls of water....

    Then I got rushed off my feet....so had two cups of black tea(surprised I actually like black tea....I can really get used to this) in between meetings. Then back to my office where I downed a litre(yes a litre) of water, I was parched!!!

    Then made my soup - vegetable - in a cup which my CDC suggested...I ate it with a spoon out of the cup...lasted a long time too!!!

    Anyway, more meetings before home time...drank another 500 mls of water...

    While making dinner for my other half and my son, I made my Strawberry shake....it actually helped supping that and making dinner(made something that I don't like) and have just downed some more water....

    How do I feel near the end of day one....

    I'm widdling like a race horse...never been this bad since I was pregnant with my daughter(8 months old) but I know its all in a good cause....

    Felt very hungry this evening now...drinking water to compensate...

    Also, my feet are a bit cold and I have a yick taste in my mouth...is this linked to every thing....

    Well done for getting through day one. The first 3-4 days are the hardest, but if you keep drinking the water you should be fine. Soon it becomes a way of life and you dont even think about how much water your drinking and it does get easier the food part. Once your in ketosis, about day 3 or 4 , the physical hunger goes. Some signs of being in ketosis are feeling cold and haveing a foul taste in your mouth. Did you cut down on your carb intake the last few days? if you did, then getting into ketosis is not so hard, maybe you are on the way there now as you have cold feet and bad taste in ur mouth.....keep drinking the water!!!!!!!

    Widdling like a race horse!!! never heard that expression before lol

    Good luck, keep posting and reading, and you wont fail

    Day 2 in the Cambridge Diet house....

    Well so far today I've drunk 2 litres of water...I have a full 2 litre bottle in the car and hope to have that gone too...

    This morning was a bit more hit and miss....drank my tetra and took sips of water in between which made it last longer and got me to drink the all important water...

    Goingforgold - I was being polite on the racehorse - I could have said pi$$ing :)
