mixing the soups

Hi wonder if anyone else had this problem when mixing the soup with my electric blender thingy it goes very frothy is there any other way of mixing the soup without this happening Linda:confused:
 
I have just been using a jug and a normal whisk, doesn't take long or much effort.
 
I just add 300mls boiling water to my bowl, and whisk in the food pack with a little hand whisk (Nigella Lawson one, or similar) - little froth on top, and no lumps!
 
Thank you for suggesting a hand whisk I had the mushroom soup tonite and it was yummy and no froth
