Monday start of the rest of my life

Looked and looked at the books, wrote things down today but tomorrow is the real start. Been a sw member before but I've 4 years ago, two kids and a wedding later I need to get back to it. I'm so used to eating as much and when I want for so long. I'm dreading starting and giving in too quickly. I need to do this for me! Any tips for starting over, staying on it and getting on with it please?? Xx

Hi good luck on your Journey. My only tip would be to write down every morsel that passes your lips for the next few weeks it really helps to focus and stay on track :)

Things have changed at SW over the past few years...I did it 9 years ago and fell off the wagon. Got back into it very recently and I'm loving it. I don't feel like I'm on a diet...and I seem to be eating loads!

I enjoy the meetings...the people there are inspirational and are very supportive. I'm sure your consultant will be on hand to help you along too.

I only joined this site earlier in the week but I've realised there's loads of people on here that offer support and there's always someone online if you get stuck.

I'm sure you'll be fine once you get going.... remember we are all travelling the same path!! :)

I'd say, if you're intending to not eat it yourself and it's high syns, either don't buy it (generally they're the sorts of food your loved ones can do without anyway) or buy it and make them hide it somewhere so you won't be tempted.

Write things on your log before you eat it, not after. If you can't bring yourself to write it then you know you shouldn't be eating it.

Invest in something that is luxurious but SW friendly to reward yourself at the weekend. Maybe not even food based.

Thanks everyone for your tips. Got my note pad ready to write everything down. I'm on a red day today but do have extra easy in my book. Didn't really get it when I dabbled in this a while ago. Is it easier/better than red or green days?

Also considering going this alone without the group. Not sure is a good idea but not been to group for years. Have they changed? Are they worth it?

The only thing with EE is you only get one HEXA and one HEXB plus you need to make sure every meal has 1/3 superfree fruit or veg. It's really up to yourself! I did EE for my 2 stone then went back to red and green x
