Mozzarella Cheese contains citric acid

    Yes it does, thought I better let you know.
    I've had a couple of planned meals out and had the meat with salad option. In place of potatoes or for a starter I've had mozzarella cheese (thinking that its the low carb option).
    I was reading the packet in tescos the other day and it contains citric acid so no good for ketosis.
    I'm now on a chewing gum and mozzarella ban!

    maybe some mozarella brands don't use citric acid as a preservative ... might be worth looking at some other labels?
