My keyboard symbols are all messed up - Help!

For some reason my @ sign is not on the key its marked on, its on SHIFT+2 and My pound sign which should be SHIFT+3 is # instead!!!!!!!

Can I change these does anyone know?????

Not 100% sure but last time something similar happened me in work, I had to go into 'Control Panel' then 'Clock, Language, Region' and change the keyboard setting in there.

Have a look at this page and try some of the suggestions. My son's keyboard does the same so I'll try it and see if they work.

Now the answer depends on what version of windows you are using...

If the above link didnt work post here and i will tell you what you need to do to reset the keyboard language.

The problem you describe is very common windows assumes we are all in the us and sets default keyboard configuration to united states.

What you need to do is change the keyboard language

i have looked at the thread ( 2 years old ) and the answer to the problem is contained in it

unless of course you are using winblows 7
