My Low Carb Journey

Hope you are feeling better soon Dawn. I was looking at the lactofree milk in the supermarket myself as a lower carb option but haven't tried it yet. Just take it all one day at a time, the weight will go when it's ready no point stressing too much as long as you are on plan most of the time.

I don't think I drink enough, I keep saying it, but don't seem to do it, busy at work and forget and when I get home I never seem to get round to drinking enough .................anyway the reason for that post is that I did some research...good old internet..and apparently dehydration can also make you feel lightheaded and dizzy, so note to self..........drink more water...........have I done it tho...........no!!!!! The weight is going tho its very slow. Exercise would help in that area tho I'm sure :)

Hi dawn, you're doing brill to be on track despite life throwing cr*p at you :( :( well done tho

As for aloe Vera, I have no idea but if I were you I'd keep it going and see what happens. Good luck on the next stone bracket - will be a huge motivator! Xxxx

It will be a huge motivational boost :woohoo: can't wait..............secretly hoping it happens this week :)

Morning Dawn,

So close... I hope you get there soon, and the bad news stop coming. I'm a big fan of The Skinny Rules ATM. They seem to be working for me and I am a notoriously poor loser.

Disheartening isn't it at times??

Dawn

Sorry to hear that you've not felt well
and to top it off had bad news as well
Hope your feeling better this morning hun

Sending hugs your way xx

Ps nearly forgot to say well done for staying on track

Thank you Kally, I am determined to get there, its just I seem to stop to smell the flowers a bit too often on this scenic route of mine :)

Dawn put a bottle of water on your desk when you get to work in the morning. Or another tip is every time you have a cup of tea have a glass of water afterwards.

I tend to drink copious amounts of tea in the morning and water in the afternoon, but like the tea it does tend to sit there and go cold coz I get stuck into something and forget to drink it whilst its warm, mind you water going cold is not usually seen as a problem :8855:

I get in at 7.30 and the kettle goes on and probably goes on every hour from then til lunch at 12ish..............very rarely get to drink it warm so end up tipping half of it away.........then I drink a couple of glasses of water in the afternoon and then thats probably it for the day apart from a cuppa when I walk in the door and a glass of water with my tea...............mmm probably not nearly enough..........I really must remedy that, but these notes to self are not working.................will have to resort to tying a knot in my hair :8855:

The freezer section at the American Air Force base in Cambridgeshire. It has 80 calories a slice but only I net carb! (American labels do not subtract the fiber from the carbs - lie the EU ones do). My DH has taken a sandwich wit ads with this bread - ill find out tonight if what he thinks. I'm having one slice toasted, cut into squares, and tipped with tuna for lunch today.

I'll come back and post my review.

Lol Mel you could start taking orders for this
you'd in inundated with requests
I'm thinking nice little sideline earner for you ;)

Not legal to that... But I can give things as bona fide gifts. I have a little budget to spread goodwill. ;)

Shame.....you would have made a killing

But I would never... It is not worth the potential penalties. Not in the least.

Plus, the military pays to ship the stuff over for the American component, and it would not be fair to the other Americans stationed here. There is a limited supply of most things.

Ahhhh...I'm with you now Mel.....
It's not like just going to the supermarket shopping is it
because its an on base shop that stocks home products.....

I know when my Cousin and her husband where stationed
in Germany, we use to send care packages not because
she couldn't get English products on site.... But because
they were also three times the price and considered a luxury

Evening ladies :) Back from Scotland and know I've put on weight, but tbh I'm not going to worry about it til Monday as have a family bbq on Saturday and there will be loads of goodies on offer and I know I will eat some, so not going to beat myself up about it or stress about it. Tbh I haven't really done very well since May and have messed about a lot, but in my head Tuesday is D-Day as that is when I am back at work and am not doing anything else until mid-September so will have a good few weeks to get back on track and re-focus and to get down to size 16 by then, size 14 by Christmas is still achievable :):)

As far as bread goes, I tend to have a MiM every now and again, preferably toasted with cheese or scrambled eggs, works for me :):)

Thank you :):)

I'm still eating on plan as that's a life style choice I have made and tbh I feel better eating low-carb, but I'm not worrying about losing weight again until Tuesday as I have a busy food-filled weekend and I plan on eating what I want, but in between I'm low-carbing. Does that make sense?

Before I went to Scotland I was 13.12, but am sure I've gone back into the 14s, but not going to weigh myself and not going to worry about it...........just yet!!! I'm not going to weigh on Tuesday either as don't want to depress myself with how much weight I can gain in a weekend, but will wi on Sat 28th to see how I'm doing.

Does anyone know how its possible to put on 5lb overnight?????? One pound of weight gain is supposed to be 3500 extra calories........ so how can someone eat 17500 extra calories in one day?????? Or it a lot of it water after eating processed, high carb foods? I always think that weight gained quickly comes off quickly too.................what do you think?
