My metamorphosis log - final stage

02.07.10
Hi all, Well another night over, thankfully. Quite busy, working with an absolutely lovely, but very unwell schizophrenic lady. One of those moments where you remember why you came to the job in the first place. Most rewarding. Off to bed soon.
Slight problem this morning, in that i came home to find our little girl has got Chickenpox! She is plastered in them, some have blistered already but thankfully not too itchy yet.... although i'm sure that will come. Poor little mite.:( She's so cheery though. Takes it all in her stride, had a huge joke about being a white spotted giraffe as we applied calamine. Then proceeded to chase me around the house with a cotton woll ball soaked in the stuff!
Still 100% on track. Had a shake, bar and an egg, tuna and cottage cheese. Not really getting bothered by the food at the moment, which is good. And.......one week on track......... 8lb down!!! I am so pleased. On the downside i lost a few hairs last night as i was applying mousse, not good. Hoped it wouldn't happen in just a few weeks. I don't think stopping now will necessarily lessen it. I knew it was a possibility. But at the same time, hair can be played with to look fuller etc. for the wedding. I can't hide the extra pounds i am carying if i hadn't tried to shift it and i'm sure that would have dissappointed me more. Off to jump into bed. Very tired now. Back soon xx

Heey Butterfly sorry to hear about the hair loss again.! but as u said 8lbs down already fantastic im happy for you.!:):)

speak soon xx:D

Horrid night at work. Really worried. Serious incident involving patient and although i haven't done anything wrong, if it turns out with a bad outcome you just know the depth of investigation that will occur and if you will implicated in any way. Doesn't help that my manager tonight is clueless and mishandled everything. Trying not to worry too much, but got no-one here senior to me to discuss and appraise with. Its times like this i wish i did something else for a living.
Positive note though, diet still fine. 100% and continuing. Can clearly see loss in my body shape now which is pleasing. Just need to get arse into gear to get back to excercise as it has been a while.
Hope everyone well. xx

Hey Butterfly

You are doing amazingly well, and really sticking on track fabulously. Sorry to hear about the incident at work - hopefully no bad outcome will come of it.
8lbs down is great. Do you take any hair/nail supplements as the Vit B ones can help a bit. May be worth a try.

Have a good rest of weekend xx

Thanks Alexmummy. Just quick hello to remind myself to be good. After sleep got up and had DD, took her to get antihistimines as the itching has arrived with a vengence. She's coping amazingly well luckily. Tea and bed by time got back, then tidy, clean and water garden. just about to speak to mother and then do excercise hopefully. Then i can have tea!! More hours needed as per usual.
Did have slight wobble today in that i had a few of DDs chips (she gets more leeway with 'naughty' food when ill!) and a few spoonfuls of her icecream. I am so bad....! But, not end of the world really. Have eaten a few slices of ham otherwise and yet to have my shakes/soups/bars....ooopps! Always struggle on the first night off to fit it all in. Have located the 'dropweight' range in local Asda, and the bars and tom soup are yummy so have stocked up and looking foreward to munching later.
Got to rush, will catch up on diaries when can, just a bit busy right now xx

ooo dropweight range in Asda? are these similar to the Tesco ultraslim? x

Hey butterfly,
Sorry to hear you've been having a rough time at work. Hope all is ok with you.
How's your little spotty one, hope she's ok!

Have a good day hun
xx

Thanks all. Sorry for absence again. Had stupid amount of overtime and its been chaos generally. Starting to freak about the miniscule number of weeks left till wedding and our complete lack of organisation. Have been and tried on dress today to decide what type of undies/ shoes to get. It was lovely. Just need the time to buy stuff now. Stuck back at work for next two nights again so not going to have chance.
Diet wise, did have minor blip of binge type eating one day, not major but enough to stall me for a while. So still at 10st 6lb but back to it now so should see it droppping soon. Need to up water, not managing quota and need to stop nibbling on ham.....way too much salt, which i am sure hasn't helped. Tomorrow a new day and all that, so feeling positive.
At shop today got discussing dieting and still find myself getting so enthusiastic about this plan. Their daughter runs a cake company and i've arranged to go see her tomorrow to sort out cakes, very handy, as it is only down the road. She wants to lose 6 stone in 4mths, a long shot really but she is keen to learn more as has been thinking of doing Cambridge anyway, so will spread the word....! I have browsed my pc for my before/during after photos to show her and it has really shocked me. just cannot believe how i have changed, or just how huge i was. I will NEVER get like that again. It was quite disgusting, yet that was my reality for years. I never felt i was quite as big as i was if that makes sense. Will get my backside into gear and put them on here one day. Unable to stay. Apologies all as not been able to get near everyones diarys for ages. Will catch up soon, but hope everyone is ok anyway. xx

Hey Butterfly - am still chuckling about your Daughter asking about jelly fish eyes and am also curious if they have them now!

Hope her chicken pox is clearing up. Did the incident at work get sorted out without too much hassle/investigation?

Your hair sounds just like mine and there's lots that can be done to make it appear thicker/bigger whatever you want really. My future SIL put mine up for someone's wedding and it looked lovely in a side bun.

You're doing really well, so I wouldn't worry about a minor blip. It is amazing seeing befores and afters or even trying on old clothes - wish I'd kept my old jeans now!

Hi,
Thanks Liz, think i may consider a half up down do. Just need to get time to get appt. The incient resolved safely thankyou. This may sound mean but i do feel angry sometimes as to how people can completely disregard the impact their behaviour can have on others. There are just some things that no-one can be paid enough for, and as for the poor family often involved..... so sad.
Alexmummy, the dropweight range appear to be VERY similar to cambridge. In that they are higher protein meal replacements. They are 200cal slightly higher on protein, higher in carbs but lower in sugars, slightly higher fat, not as high fibre. Still have the mulivits/minerals about the same. According to the website it appears they can be used as complete meal replacement as well as part of an eating plan. They're just convenient for me because they don't involve even more time out of very busy schedule, and are a tad cheaper. I would prefer to be doing CD, but just haven't got options at moment. I am getting in ketosis with them fine. The tesco ultraslim are ridiculously high in carbs so i have only used them when doing food based plan as a supplement, ie. for one or two meals. Hope this helps.
Hope you enjoy the book Shanny, it certainly helps me when i am straying back to addictive habits.
Not weighed properly so not sure what scales at. Have been ok, not 100% but not terrible. Have eventually fit in half hour of Davina tonight which has killed me after not doing any for so long.
Feeling little more organised now got cake sorted and mens suits organised and will be playing with flowers tomorrow. Shoes to be collected from delivery depot in morning. Ordered four pairs so one should fit, surely...? Still no honeymoon. Sure will find something soon enough, but it is only 6weeks 4days.......eek! Off to try to do a quick catch up.
Sunshines Wedding tomorrow, she must be so excited. Found myself getting all weepy thinking about it..... how on earth do you sleep the night before!?
Hope all having good day xx

Hey Butterfly,

Sounds like you've been a busy bee with the planning, it'll all fall into place! hope the shoes were good!

x

Honeymoon is the most fun bit to plan I think, although it is quite a stress as there are so many options to choose from. How did you get on with shoes by the way? xx

Ha ha, when me and DH got married we only managed a day at Chessington World of Adventures for our honeymoon.... too many children to get away anywhere else. Have had some nice 2 day trips since tho now that the children are older.

Hope a pair of your shoes did fit you and are perfect with the dress... and keep drinking the water...

Hey Butterfly, hope all is well with you!

Hi all, apoplogies for huge absence again. Life just getting very busy and hardly seem to catch a moment to do anything 'extra', and I'm afraid minimins falls into my 'extra's' category, that only comes after all the 'have to's' that make up a day. Will endeavour to catch up on diarys soon too, miss catching up with everyone, just cannot fit it in, which is frustrating. So, hope you are all ok anyway. Will be back as soon as i can.
Diet wise, not too bad. Just about hitting the 10st 1pound mark. Which, considering i have not been most virtuous, i'm happy with. Got dress fitting on Wed 28th, was hoping to be closer to 9.5stone by then...but i figure thats reasonably unlikely.
Still not squeezing in any excercise, which is frustrating. But don't have the time or energy at the moment so will not beat self up on it.
Only 5 weeks today till Wedding. Thats coming around freakily quickly!!! Need a pause button for a while, Did pick the shoes, silver satin and sparkly strappy sandals, not too high so shouldn't break my neck luckily.
Just finished night shift and my eyes are giving up on me.....soooo tired. Back soon xx

25.07.10
Had an ok night. Had soup and bar and managed to avoid any other temptations. Which, given my track record the last few days is good by me. Was getting into terrible habit of grazing, especially in morning after night shift or at end of day. A slice of ham, lump of chicken and mayo, cracker, nibble of cheese. Never too bad, but enoughto have stalled my losses a fair bit. Can only continue from here on and hope for a drop before Wednesday.
Pleased have managed to get on here and ctach up with everyone. Seems to have been forever since i last had chance, have missed so much!
Wedding plans not as organised as would like to be. Feel a bit snowed under really, need to organise a 'to do' list, and at least sort out various payments. Have only done a draft budget plan a few days ago, which was a suprise.... amazing how it adds up, but i'm quite pleased i've not gone too mad.
Have finished the Gill Riley book and the last chapter was fantastic, really hit home. Its just a case of putting things into practice. Off to grab a coffee to get me through the next few hours. Back soon, or when can xx

Argghhhh, i am working with an idiot who is the biggest 'know it all' arrogant twit, and i really dislike him. Going to have to find a reason to leave the office soon, so don't have to listen to his voice anymore.

Happy sunday and well done hun 10 stone 1 is great.!

Good luck over the next 5 weeks, im sure u will be sorted.x
