I agree with you Claire, well done 4.5 stone is amazing.

I loved s&s at first, the weight was dropping right off, I felt good.

Now though is very different, I am still carrying an extra stone from my lowest weight, from honeymoon gain! Which I too was shocked at as we did alot of exercise really. I also am losing massive amounts of hair, which I am very concerned about, so much so that I have a teeny bald spot near the side of my hairline, not happy. I keep thinking about the amount of weight I can lose quickly if I went back on it again, say for a couple of months, but will that be followed by a gain of a stone when I eat again? Just from reintroducing carbs? I don't want that...

I know I can survive on under 600cals per day, I know I can survive without pizzas, chocolate, roast dinners and all the other bad things I enjoy eating. I've proved to myself that I can do it, we all can here. We've all lost so much weight and should be proud, but I think there comes a time for every vlcd'er when they should switch over to eating a healthy diet, mix in carbs again, getting lots of fruit and veg and exercise too. My concern was that despite losing weight I was feeling flabby, not as firm as I once was, I couldn't exercise the way I needed to on VLCD.

In my opinion it is a great way to lose weight, but I am going to use it more strictly to get back down to the wedding weight I was, 13st 7lbs, Then after that I plan to lose the rest by healthy eating and restricting carbs and cals along with upping my exercise, I think this will teach me to take better care of myself after the weight loss is done with.

I hope you can find something to suit you Claire, and I think it's important we all keep everyone updated, it really does help when we are trying to lose weight, I never realised how far a little support from people in the same situation could go! xxx

Definitely agree too, I'm also loosing alot of hair. Happened before from vlcd and hoped it wouldn't this time!
Im also looking to drop the remaining holiday weight then swap over, as you said exercising on a vlcd isn't easy etc and it's do important to introduce that too as part of a balanced healthy future.
It's just hard breaking away from something that gets such big results but at some point we all have to. Even if not for me but my hubbies health too.
Whatever happens we'll be supporting each other along our journeys no matter what path they go down xx

Hey Tara you looking amazing on your wedding day! Loved your dress, don't worry about the weight gain seriously, I was 13st 11lb on Saturday night and was 13st 7lb this morning! After 2 days of SnS it's all water n glycogen maybe 4lb is fat but rest will be water etc bet u had fun tho so it was so worth it been on your hunny moon :D I'm tempted to take scenic route tbh :/ know how u feel my scales are a yoyo ATM lol but I had an idea...I'm off on a 7 day detox nothing extreme just fruit berries fish and a high fibre home made museli for breakfast your still having carbs but it'll flush all the crap out (I love wine waaayyy too much lol) give it ago you can loose 7lb in 7 days :) and non of it will be glycogen weight yey! Lol x

Hi Chelly,

What exactly are you eating then on a typical day for the detox, I have a fridge full of strawberries lol.. I know I will be going back on s&s 100% again, to be honest, I tried to lose weight 'conventionally' before and was always too tempted to cheat, and would majorly fall off the wagon. I just need to get myself back to the point where I feel ready again to start... Going to aim for 100% tomorrow.

It's OH's bday next week, we are at a homecoming houseparty next friday night, then sat we are at a wedding, then sunday we are off to damons for Danes Bday. So diet won't be upto much next week, but I am going to try and shed as many lbs
before next fri as poss to help cushion the blow! Then need to get back on it 100%.

I am having a hard time stomaching the packs right now though, I am making them up and cant seem to even stand the smell! Need to snap out of it quick tho. I find I am having 2 shakes and then porridge and tuna for tea rather than having the mealpacks, gone right off them~!

Tara just catching up on your diary now after being off work (and away from t'internet) for two weeks.
You looked ravishing on your Big Day! And boy does your new hubby looked chuffed to pieces!!
Best of luck on your continuing journey and please do keep your diary updated to let us know how you're doing xx

Hey everyone,

I've jumped ship over to JUDDD, can't get back on S&S for some reason, I went from 242lbs down to 185lbs for my big day, now I am tipping the scales at well over 200lbs again after an awful honeymoon gain and then some more in the past 2 weeks. Kept evening bingeing when hubby was on nights. Not good at all.

Feel like I am starting from scratch in some ways, but here I am 3 days into JUDD offically and feeling good, sat here, hubby on nights and not wanting to touch a single peice of chocolate! I want to be healthier and Iam enjoying exercising again. I wish all you of luck on S&S and if you stick to it, losing alot of weight is very possible. I started on here when there were only a hanful of people doing it, seen lots drop out, some go on much further than me and some like me who make a switch. Good luck and take each day at a time. I think I will do S&S again at some point maybe an odd stint here and there before a holiday or after xmas lol

This was my progress on SW then S&S up to my wedding day, I will get back down to that weight again, it may take me longer this time around but I will get there, I hope to be somewhere in the 11s at xmas time. Fingers crossed!

I looked at diaries on here, and to be honest, people have had mixed results, some have lost a fair amount consistently others not so much. But won't know until I try it, and it seems a good plan for me, I can handle the down days quite well as I am used to such low cals, and the up days are great for a treat, has a full beef roast dinner on sunday, I did steam my veg and there was no fat on my meat, also did slimming world roasties (whish always turn out lovely). Even had a pudding! Then I had lots of cals left too.

I have been on JUDDD since saturday properly, I weighed in on sat and I am 3.5lbs down since then, I know it's the first week, but if I lose 4lbs this week, then 1-2lbs per week seems quite doable for the next 6 months. I hope to lose 40lbs by xmas, 23 weeks away. I am also doing much more exercise too and I am actually really enjoying that. I read up various articles on the internet about JUDDD, one of the main things I like is just the science behind it. Simple. You obviously have a large cal deficit overall in the week which equals weight loss, because of the nature of the diet, not dropping cals down everyday you metabolism shouldn't slow down too much like other straight plans of say 1200cals per day for 6 months. I don't know what result I am going to get, and to be honest I have had a hard time settling on a new plan, because I am so used to losing 3lbs+per week most weeks, so going onto a diet that you lose less on is daunting, but having said that I refuse to believe the only way I can lose weight is by drastic means. It worked for my wedding, but it didn't teach me to eat right, I am hoping JUDDD will do that, I plan to eat alot of protein and still keep relatively low carb on up days.

I think most plans will work for any one of us, we just need to give them a go and see, and they will only work if we stick to them. I remember being on slimming world and being like oh I've gained 2lbs this week and been really annoyed, and felt like I was on a diet and should have lost, then I remembered the days where I had that extra choc bar, or me n the OH went for a meal and didn't care what we ate! I really hope I get along with JUDDD but who knows, could be back here at some point!!
