Hi All

I'm new to this site and I have recently joined Slimming World. I went to group last night for my first weigh-In and I have lost 2.5lbs. I was really delighted as I can honestly say there were at least 2days when I went off track a little, however I still managed a loss :)

I'm going to try extra hard this week, however my bf is bringing me out for Valentines for meal & drinks etc, but I will make up for it during the week.

I'm going on holiday at the end of June and I really want to be slim & toned.

A little about myself:
I'm 24 and I weight 12.6.
I'm just longing to get back into size 10 clothes, at the min Im 14.
I'm a trainee accountant so my job involves sitting all day and I have to say at the minute I do zero exercise.

Well done on your loss so far - just remember, the only way is down!!!

Your job is similar to mine, sitting in front of a computer all day (hence why I'm skiving on here right now!!) and not a sign of exercise... lol xx

Well done so far Jeans. You're doing great. I'm sure you will soon start to notice a huge difference and feel great and will be back in the size 10s in no time. Really!

I started at the end of October at a size 14 / 16 (I say "/16" because I have big boobs so loads of size 14 clothes wouldn't fit round my boobs!) and now all my clothes are too big and I'm looking more at a 10 / 12 and the boobs have shrunk a bit which is great! Time has gone so fast too, just proves that if you do stick to it you will get good results and quite fast!!!

Maverick I'm having a little break from the numbers here also :) Its Fri afternoon afterall.

Hey, well done on your weight loss. I am the same I started last night so my first weigh in will be next week! I just cannot believe how much food you can eat ;) I am the same sit at a desk all day and do no exercise at all. Keep up the good work though...x

Still loving it! I have never felt like I was on a diet not even at Christmas except for dodging chocs and crisps but I wasn't bothered by then!

I have made it work for me by saving up syns for going out at the weekends and getting drunk now and then! Some people say you shouldn't do this but what the hey... But other than that I've found the plan dead easy to stick to.

Enjoy being on SW! It's a great plan! xxxx

Haha, yes it's Friday afternoon, my boss has gone to get her hair done, why should I be stuck actually doing work??!! 47 mins to go...

I know I just love that Friday feeling...:eek:) Well I have been told that you can't save your syns up, I have a night out tomorrow so am saving my syns so I can have a drink, it is the weekend after all. I cannot get my head round it at all, you can eat soooo much well it seems like it today. I am getting myself confused as there is alot of conflicting stories. Could you advise if you on EE diet it says 100g of crabsticks are free, does that mean after the 100g you have to count as a syn?? I am so frightened that I am eating all this food and its actually not free at all...:eek:) Just be my luck x

Crab sticks are free on EE - you can eat as many as you like!!

My C says you can save up some syns, for a treat, but still try to have at least a few every day. I'm saving up mine for tomorrow, but I still ended up using 4 syns yesterday... so far 2 today, so I'm not too bad. Depending how many I use tomorrow I may not have any left til my next WI!!! x

I'm the same, its info overload for me.
Thats a good question about crabsticks, my take on it is that you have to count anything after 100g. It is a little confusing.
I'm just after a Choc & orange Alpen bar and it really was yummy. Not what I expected at all. I read somewhere that you are allowed 2 of them as an Healthy Extra.
I really must do my homework at the weekend.

As long as it's the Aplen Lights, then yes you can have 2 as a HEB.

Basically, any food that's free, you can eat as much of as you like. However, if you are on EE, you should be eating superfree first and foremost as 1/3 of your plate and try to get them in as snacks too, rather than overloading on unnecessary carbs etc.

My C told me to aim for at least 8 each day. I'm aiming for 5 today and going to try save all mine tomorrow so I wont feel too guilty going out tomorrow night.

That is great Jules. It great to hear stories like that really helps motivate me.
I'm going to get drunk this weekend and I cant wait :) Im going to save some Syns today & tomorrow so I wont feel too guilty.

i save my syns up so i can enjoy a glass or two at the weekend or when going on night out am size 12/14 and have about a stone to lose i just want to feel bit healthier its my stomach what bothers me ever since having my little un never been the same lol just would like it to be bit flatter :)

I'm back but I have to admit I have been extremely bold.
My bf spolied me rotten all weekend for Valentines and I just ate & ate - Chocs, dining out, Haagen-Daz Ice Cream, more chocs, breakfast in bed etc
Feel so bad today, but Im determined to get back on track.

I'm dreading going to group this week but I will make myself go to help keep me on track.

So today I am back on track and so far so good.

Bfast: Muller Light & Alpen Light bar (1/2 HEB)

Mid Morn: Tea & Alpen Light bar (1/2 HEB)

Lunch: Cup of Pasta - Tomato & Herb flav.
Its actually ok, I struggle a bit with lunch as i find it very hard to stay away from bread and I find that salads dont tent to fill me up.

I also had Hartleys no added sugar Jelly, 115g (1/2 Syn) and a hand full of grapes.

Dinner: Potatoes, Roast Chicken & loads of Turnip.

Snack: WW Honeycomb Sundae (6 syns), muller light & 10 Tick Tacs.

Snap - I ate bad food and lots and lots of cider over the weekend as me and bf were away... I'm not feeling too guilty yet, but prob will by WI tomoro!! Back on track now anyway xx

I'm feeling great today, that awful bloated feeling is gone :)

I'm feeling very positive about today.

Going to try introduce some water into my daily diet. I've heard loads of good things about water and my dailt intake in zero. I really do have to force myself 2 drink it.
