My Weight Loss Journey

It was a sod it weekend up until today (* week kicked in on Friday- now I know where all the cravings were coming from)and really overdid it, but I did enjoy every single bite at all the parties (except Friday as I didn't get to go as OH wasn't feeling well, so ended up staying home---was giving me the guilt trip).

Missed WI yesterday as we had guests over at night. Called my C, but she said to make sure to make it another day this week. I made it tonight to group to get weighed and not good results at all -- 4.5lb gain (I'm hoping at least 2lbs are from my * week). Need to lose 1.5lbs to get my 4 stone back. Hope to at least lose this much for WI on Monday next week.

Fresh start tomorrow.....I will get that 4 stone back!

Only results from blood test were the glucose one and that one was normal. Hoping all the other ones are too.

Good news on the glucose test :)

You seem to have big weight changes on a week to week basis so I wouldn't worry about a 4lb gain - you have often lost more than that in a week so I am sure it will be off in no time. As long as you enjoyed the weekend, that's the important thing!

Eli- Should hopefully hear later this week about the others. Fingers crossed they come out okay. Missing you loads too! Well done on your losses so far. Don't let a week get you down...there is always next week :) I'm sure I'll notice a big difference when I see you next time.

Well went to Asda this morning to stock up and really plan my week better. Want to try to get as much SS food in as possible, so going to have a read through my books again before planning what I'm having for lunch/dinner today.

So far having:

Green Lemon Tea to start the day
Breakfast- Fried Egg and half a tin of Baked Beans
Snack- 2 clementines
Lunch- Leek, Celery and Potatoe Soup, 6 Ryvita WG Crackerbread (HEB)with 3 Laughing Cow Cheese with Fresh Black Pepper
Snack- Shapes Yogurt, Fibre Plus Bar (HEB) with Green Lemon Tea
Dinner- Quorn Sausages, Mushrooms and AH Cous Cous (.5syn)
Snack- Total 0% yogurt with Option Belgian Chocolate sachet (2 syns) ; Green Lemon Tea with an Alpen Light (3 syns) whilst watching The Apprentice :)
Water: Aiming for 2 litres!

Hi Meli, thanks for your message! Yes I was reasonably happy with 1/2lb off but had been really good so thought I deserved more, but with 14lb to go I'm quite happy to chip away bit by bit- I'm in no hurry! Sounds as though you had a great time partying! A gain is sometimes not disastrous if you've had a jolly good time which you obviously did! It's nigh on impossible to attend a cluster of parties and NOT indulge!! I had one of those evenings last night- the food was so amazing (a buffet) I just had to try 'one of those' and 'one of those' and 'Ooh another of those'!!! Hence a flexisyn day!! And I know what you're like with your losses normally! You tend to have big ones when you're on plan so don't lose heart whatever you do! Hope you're OK!XXXXXXXXXXXX
 
Thanks Hev...problem is if I have too many of those off plan days it takes me days to get back on plan properly. Yesterday was a good day though, so let's see how the rest of the week goes as I'm going away tomorrow night until Sunday night (off to London to OH's family). Already have 2 dinner invites for Friday and Saturday night, so will be interesting.

Some good news on the blood test, so my glucose is fine (which they told me the other day) and looks like they couldn't detect any HepB in my blood too (but the secretary said he needed to look at the other values to make sure they were okay). Not sure what other test I'm waiting for, but it's to do with PCOS (which again I'm not convinced that I have that, although the doctor suspects that I do). So I'm much happier today as I was totally stressed out that I might have the HepB. :)

Aiming for 100% day today:

Breakfast- clementine followed by 42g All Bran (HEB) with skimmed milk (HEA)
Lunch- Going to try to make a mini spanish tortilla with eggs, boiled potatoes, onions, salt/pepper and have it with some garden peas
Snack- Shapes Yogurt and 2 pears
Dinner- Quorn Sausages with Low Fat Super Noodles and Stir Fry Veg
Snack- 2 Alpen Light (HEB) with Green Lemon Tea, fruit salad

Not having any syns today...need to save them up for the weekend!

Water: 2.0 litres - got close to this amount yesterday
Exercise: Out shopping for a bag today :)

The tortilla turned out okay, but nothing beats the real thing :)

Had a very naughty weekend, but limited it to having only a bad meal at night and stuck to plan for breakfast/lunch. It seems to have paid off as I see an STS on the scales, which could mean an STS or maybe a small gain of .5lb. Not able to make it to WI today as I have good news that I've got an interview lined up for tomorrow morning so need to spend as much time preparing tonight (will try to make it tomorrow night). Feeling really nervous as it's been quite some time since I've been called to an interview and this is really the type of position that I want!!! OH says just to relax as I have nothing to lose even if I don't get it I can just stay home and be a housewife. Unfortunately don't get much relaxation being at home, so prefer to be at work and advancing my career and socialising and I've been there before juggling work, housework, kids and loved it.

Green Day today-

Breakfast- Rice with Peas and a small bit of Asda Chickpea Dahl (also gave this to OH for lunch today as he's back at work)
Lunch- Big bowl of courgette and potatoe soup (HEB oil), 2 pears
Snack- Shapes Yogurt, Green Lemon Tea with 1 Alpen Light (.5HEB)
Dinner: Quorn Sausages with Mushrooms and AH Cous Cous (.5syn)
Snack- Alpen Light (.5HEB) with Green Lemon Tea, Mini Twister (2 syns)

Water: 2 litres
Exercise: None

Thanks for your well wishes and let's see if I get it. I had it early this morning and they are interviewing more people this week, so they will let us know sometime next week. I think it went well, but we'll see if they call me for the 2nd interview. Whatever happened to the 1 interview and you're hired????
After the interview I really needed to go to the toilet, so headed to Burger King, but felt a bit bad about using the toilet and not getting anything. I looked at the menu to see what to have, but really didn't want to have anything too naughty. Fortunately the line was moving really slow and I just decided to sneak out of there and head for Primark. Got a call from a friend while shopping to meet up for lunch in town and we headed for Pret a Manger and I just opted for a hot chocolate (not sure how many syns in that???), but hoping not too many. A bad day for food consumption so far, but going to have a proper meal after WI later tonight.

Breakfast- none- no time for it this morning while preparing for the interview and getting the kids ready at the same time.
Lunch- Hot Chocolate (edited- 15.5 syns!!!with a nice star in the middle at Pret a Manger and an Alpen Light (.5HEB)
Snack (at home)- Shapes yogurt, Toffee (1 syn), 2 pears
Dinner- Egg, Mushrooms, Baked Beans and SW Chips
Snack- Green Lemon Tea with Alpen light (.5HEB), Mini Twister (2 syns)

Water: 1.0 litre
Exercise: walking in town

Hey Meli hun!! I missed your post yesterday about today's interview!! Hope it went well!! Fingers crossed for you!! What kind of job is it for? Well done on your damage limitation this week! I didn't have a great result at all!! 1.5lb gain, which I'm really disheartened with because although I had a bit of a binge last Tues night (which wasn't exactly disastrous!) I have had a perfect week since so really thought I'd at least get away with a STS!! What bothers me is that I'm now worrying that I won't be able to get away with ANY naughty moments from now on!! But then again it could be because it's *week that I gained!! Don't you hate not knowing the real reason behind a not so successful WI?!! I suppose all I can do is have a really really good week on plan and if I don't see a good loss next week I know I'll have to rethink my strategy!! Hope you're OK and not too stressed about everything!!X

The position is for an IT Service Management role in a big bank. Was really impressed to see the atmosphere there and everyone dressed really nice and posh. If I get it, definately need to invest in some nice suits :) Good excuse to go shopping!

OH had to drop some of our friends off at the airport, so couldn't make it to WI last night. Really hope to make it tonight! It's good because it's giving me enough time to probably recover from the weekend, but not much time until the next WI on Monday. Think it's been good to go to other classes though as I realise that my Monday one is much better and more motivational.
Stuck to plan yesterday although there was a bit of the Balti mix left and just finished it off. No more left to tempt me. I actually buy it incase guests come over, but my oldest son loves them too and just opens it up and then I swear I can't stop eating it. So they are not going in my shopping cart again.

Beautiful day and I've been stuck at home catching up on all the housework. Might do some body magic and go walking to pick up the kids if I'm not exhausted by then.
