Hi ladies (and guys)!! I've been doing slimming world since last September but so far I've only lost 11lb. This is my fault however... Being 18, I tend to socialise a lot on the weekends and I find it hard to stay motivated, resulting in an up and down weightloss. I'm going to university in September and I have my Sixth Form ball in June and a holiday in July, things i really want to be slim and fab for! During the week I manage to stay in control, it's just the weekend I tend to slip up and lose my way. I joined minimins in the hope of finding people to help me stay motivated and in control!

Hi - weekends are my downfall too, especially when my will power goes walkies after a couple of drinks ! I know I have to manage this to get to target, but sometimes it is easier said than done. So, positive thoughts (I am convinced the right mind set is most of the battle), we can do this !!!

Hi - glad I'm not alone in this! I'm an obsessive planner so I'm hoping that if I start planning everything i eat and when and when I need to exercise it'll it help a lot!

I'd also say to keep writing everything down and keep track - even if you think you've blown it and had too many syns

Hello Jen,

First of all the good news is that regardless of how you have done so far you can definitely get yourself to a nice slim weight by July. That I can guarantee you. I can also guarantee you that you will still be able to socialise on the weekends (maybe not as much). All you need to change is how active you are during the week and maybe even on a Sunday morning after a night out. I've been saying this a lot lately and I can promise you I wouldn't be pushing it so hard unless it really worked, but if you exercised 3-5 times a week for 40 minutes each time you would definitely slim down a lot faster than the rate you've been going at so far.

My view on SW is that it is absolutely amazing however £4.95 is a lot to pay every week if you are barely progressing, that's why for me personally I think it's worth putting in the extra bit of effort by going to the gym or going on walks most days so you can speed up the weight loss and ultimately save money on SW and have more for you holiday!

I don't know how much exercise you are currently doing but no matter what level you are at and no matter what budget you are on there is always a way back into exercising. The hardest part is always that first time you do it because like any of us you will fear things like looking silly, being very unfit or even just finding it really hard. But after a couple of weeks you will be as in love with it as I have become and it will be a part of your life. Only then will you really start to notice your results!

Any time you are about to slip up or go off plan you just need to remind yourself what you're doing this for... Imagine how great it would feel to turn up at your Sixth Form Ball looking extremely sexy but more importantly, feeling absolutely brilliant about yourself. Then your holiday... wouldn't you love to be able to walk around wearing anything you desire without worrying if it looks ok?

You know it makes sense Jen, you just have to commit yourself. ;)
