I've been trying to lose weight for as long as i can remember, and always fail miserably, because of lack of motivation mostly. I really am desperate.
I am on here to find support and motivation to acheive my goals, and even a friend to talk to and motivate each other.
I'm 18, 210lbs (15st) and just had a huge change in life and has pushed me to try again and try to be happy with myself.
i also would like advice on exercise at the gym, last time i went to the gym regularly, i loved it but i wasn't too sure what would help me lose weight.
My aim is to be able to ride my horse again, after putting on 6st over 1 1/2 yrs i have had to loan him out and want to be light enough to ride him again.

Anyway, hello, what is everyone else trying and is anyone in the same position as me?
any comments etc. very welcome! and if anyone would like to chat i'm here!

Motivation is something that just....hits you. Hopefully something on here, inspires you to have that moment. Well done for coming on here, as it is a brilliant support. If you love the gym, just do whatever you enjoy there. That's the best thing as then you'll keep going. And if you do have days where you don't go to the gym, try to still be active. Walking's great for weight loss too! The main thing is every day, you eat a little less calories than you expend. Good luck on your journey!

I'm taking control now and hopefully making more stability in my life will make my motivation actually last! i can be motivated for weeks then something happens and then takes weeks to get the motivation back.
i do plenty of walking, some running, jumping, god knows what at work, i'm never still, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference after i started working there 4 months ago. but at least i haven't put any weight on which is a good thing!
thanks for your support

hi oscar, i too in the past found motivation non existant,i'm a single parent of 3 but just couldn't get myself in the right zone to lose weight, so i bought a wii, hardly use it which is typical for me, i love sweet things buscuits, cake sweets, crisps etc...
then i discovered meal replacement,i have tried tablets,ww,sw,more tablets but always felt hungry a d cheated then failed, this time i'm doing ok not cheated or strangley not felt hungry, you read all the diets they all say you wont feel hungry but i always have before,i am now on dietimeal i get it on line and its great, not buying 'real food' helps me alot and the bars are great.
i have lost 14lb in 2weeks with no hunger at all hope the next few weeks are as good.
good luck on your weight loss journey.

Hi Oscar, I would just say break it down into small steps, concentrate on the first 7 lbs, and then onto the next 7lb, don't think too much about your total weight loss. Also, we all have bad days and days when we 'fall off the wagon', just get back to it as soon as possible. You've got a brilliant goal to aim for, to be able to ride your horse again!

All the best for your future weight loss. :)
