Exercise makes very little difference to women's weight loss.
A long study has just concluded that over a 12 month period of increased and monitored exercise, men lost an average of 11bs, and women lost NOTHING.
Don't get me wrong, I love to exercise, and it has many, many benefits. I know that when going through a marriage break-up, running literally kept me off anti-depressants, (though my doctor kept presxcribing them). It makes me feel better. I actuallly get quite grumpy if I've not had a good work-ou for a while. I was up to a few months ago, doing regular 10k runs, 2 or 3 times a week. However, I have long felt that it makes absolutely no difference to my weight loss. In fact I put on 2 stone while running around 30-35k a week!!!
