New Year... New Start - onwards and downwards.

I do feel lucky, was lovely! Had one of the jets on my back just at the place where it was aching and it seems to have worked wonders. I'm imagining Friday evenings with a glass of wine after a long, hard week... bliss!

How you doing Squeeze?

Im fine thanks chick but i'd be a lot better if i was in that jacuzzi too!!

Come on over, minis jacuzzi party! Bring a bottle :D

This picture was taken on our night out on Friday by someone else on their phone and uploaded to Facebook. I didn't check, I didn't make her retake and I actually like it! Gone are the days where I set myself to untaggable in photos now, where a just about ok photo takes 10 attempts, I don't feel so ashamed and ugly in every single photo!

Sold all my S&S packs so now I'm properly committed to calorie counting now, have to make this work! Though that said, I've just ordered a pizza lol A small pizza though and it's within my calories! I went downstairs to cook and not only was the kitchen cold but there wasn't a single plate or bowl to eat out of, the only two that were next to the sink didn't look like I wanted to touch them to clean them! We've said there aren't enough so we're going to buy another set tomorrow. If everyone has 1 or 2 dirty plates/bowls, there's nothing clean to use. Two of the boys are out tomorrow and said they'll get some from ASDA on the way back. Speaking of ASDA, they've not got back to me about my complaint yet so they're in my bad books still!

Lovely photo!

I had to have photos done at Uni yesterday for a brochure for the note taking scheme I'm on. There were five of us and we had to sit on the steps in front of the abbey (sitting = fat rolls, argh!!!) - I felt so self-conscious but then the woman showed us the photos and I thought I looked really small! I was so pleased! Will put one on my diary as soon as she sends them to us :D

Absolutely love the photo Caz, you look so pretty. I'm so pleased you like it too, what a change. :)

I could get used to this!!

WelJel!

You two look lovely together.

Thanks ladies :)

Amy the complaint was about two things. Firstly they based up my delivery on Tuesday - driver forgot to give me 2 trays of stuff so had to call them up, wait a few hours for him to come back and have him be all huffy when it was his fault. They also charged me for a big bath sheet which is what I ordered but then gave me a small one, even though it says 100% spot checked on top! The other thing was that Aaron and I went into a store recent and asked for a custom pizza to be made. Guy stood there chatting to the girl and paid no attention to our pizza. Less than 50% of the pizza had any topping sauce or cheese on. When we took it to customer service they just couldn't understand why we did if we hadn't bought it and didn't want a refund, just wanted them to know he can't make a pizza to save his life and so is wasting them as no one would buy his pizzas if that's what they're all like!

I probably shouldn't "share this" but the first time a new arrival (from the U.S.) has an experience like yours, we all say, "Welcome to the land of Customer NO Service.". One of the best things about visiting my family in the States is the refreshing level of customer service a person experiences.

Don't spend another pound with them -- a tell everyone you know the same.

Morning Caz! I hope yo have a lovely Friday and weekend.

Morning gorgeous! Have a fabulous Friday. Are you going to Aaron or is he coming to you this weekend? Any plans?

Customer service isn't great here and I think partly it's because wages are rubbish and people aren't big tippers here.I know in the States that tips generally are what actually pay for things for people in those jobs and they know they need to offer good service for them. Here most people just don't care whether there's the opportunity to get a tip or not, they offer the same poor service. I'll give Asda the opportunity to make amends but if they don't, I won't use them anymore.

Afternoon Mel and Squeezy :) I'm up at Aaron's this weekend, 4th in a row!! It's his leaving do tonight so going for food and drinks with some of his work colleagues. Other than that no plans at all!

Oh, wearing a dress again. Second time not I've worn a dress to school.... what's happening?!

Next weekend --Aaron at yours? Jacuzzi party?

Actually, most workers are at the very eat minimum wage -- wait staff are sometimes paid less (as their employers expect they'll make it up in tips). However, in the U.S. If you feel you got good service you tip a lot service people (hairdressers, manicurists, bag boy, maids, door men, taxi divers) but if the hair dresser owns the salon a tip is not appropriate, and salespeople are never tipped. I think the real difference is that in the U.S. you'd lose your job if you weren't doing it right. It seems very difficult to fire someone here.

What's weird is I think ASDA is owned by Wal-Mart. Do a little research and see if there is a parent company customer service contact email -- because this is so "un-Wal-Mart.

Yup, Aaron will be here next weekend and the next couple. That with interviews, meetings and his grandparents birthday it's just meant lots at his in a row. From next week he won't finish work until 5 so will end up getting here so much later because of traffic on the M6. I look forward to saying goodbye to the M6 and not having to go up and down it so much!

I'll give Asda a couple more days to get back to me as it was early evening on Tuesday that I emailed. If they don't get back to me I'll try and find an email for Wal-mart like you suggested Mel. Pretty sure they do own them now.

Asda became a subsidiary of the American retail giant Walmart, the world's largest retailer,[2] in 1999,[3] and is the UK's second largest chain by market share after Tesco.[4] In December 2010, Asda's share of the UK grocery market stood at 16.5%.

In late August 2012, the media reported that a technical glitch due to a power outage on 16 August 2012 in Arkansas in the United States at Walmart, parent company of Asda, had resulted in hundreds of UK customers who had shopped online at Asda's website being charged multiple times for their order, with some customers being charged up to five times as much. An Asda spokesman told the press that the affected customers had been refunded for the overages and any resulting bank fees as soon as the error was discovered, as well as crediting those customers' accounts with their original shopping order cost as a gesture of goodwill.

Enjoy a great night out Caz, is Aaron sad to be going..or just excited? Hope asda reply....I hate bad customer service, my pet hate is colleagues chatting while they serve! I did laugh a few months ago, when the young boy serving at the checkout didn't realise I was standing with my hand out waiting to pay him..he was too busy admiring the young girl waiting in the queue, and when he did 'remember' about me, he still handed me my receipt while continuing to admire the young lady! ha ha

Enjoy your weekend hun x

Uhh I think a bit but he's only moving next door in the same building so not far! His workmates are lovely, they get my approval :) I've had 4/5 glasses of wine and hardly ever drink so really feeling them lol
