New Year - New You?

New year, new start, that's what they say,
Funny how each year starts the same way.
After our Christmas indulgence we think
it'll all be washed away with the New Year's drink.

The midnight toast, Big Ben chimes,
everybody sings Auld Lang Syne.
But what really changes? Only the date!
Tomorrow's the same, only now not '08.

But wait -

for some reason, this transition to a new year brings
hope for those who want to achieve things.
Lose weight, find love, do something new,
but how many resolutions really come true?

The truth is, my friends, a resolution means nowt,
unless in your heart, you mean it - with clout!
'Cos if you are determined, positive and strong-willed,
you can be sure your resolution will be fulfilled.

So make your 2009 resolution come true... the only person who can do it IS YOU!!

Wow I love it!

Was just thinking how this time last week I was full of new year positivity and now I am just back to normal. But u r right, only I can achieve my goals, better go reassess them!!!
