Total Solution Newbie day one

Hiya All,

After lurking here for a week or two I thought I would start a diary as I have started Exante Total Solution this morning, so "Hello everyone"

My reason for wanting to lose weight is that my partner and I would love another child and being so heavy it just isn't going to happen. I have PCOS and in 2004
my doctor suggested Cambridge to help me lose weight, I followed Sole Source for 5 months and had twins in early 2004

This morning I stepped on the scales and was
18st 11.5lbs eeek!
Anyway, so far I have had a bar, a strawberry milkshake and am planning on having a vegetable soup for dinner.
Today hasn't been so bad, drinking so much water
as been strange and nipping to the loo every half hour is starting to bug me. I have managed 3 litres so far along with 4 mugs of black coffee.

Does the coffee count at all towards my 4 litres a day?

I hope to get down to a size 16/18, hopefully start having TOTM again and be able to fall pregnant. I will keep you posted on my progress and if you have any advice for me, please do let me know. I think I will need all the help I can get!

That's a great reason to lose weight :) And you're off to a good start, well done. The water in drinks can count I guess, I personally dont count it but you've had lots of plain water too so you're doing fine.

Ive been that size on the scales..and it seems like its a long way..but youve got an awesome reason and a great goal...

That's day one, almost done! Is it wrong that I am thinking about bed already?

I have just had my first soup, vegetable. It tasted a lot better with extra pepper in it but I really hope he others are nicer. My partner had soup too but his portion was about 6 x mine! Do you think I could have mega soup one day with two packets together and just a bar earlier in the day? That would make dinner feel a bit more normal, I am not sure eating together is something I will get used to, we'll see I guess.

Well I will have a bit more water and head upstairs, I wonder whether tomorrow will be much the same as today. I hope so, today hasn't been nearly as bad as I thought :)
 
I only have the mushroom soups but I make them with 400ml of water and blitz them with a hand blender and then drink out of a huge mug, it feels like a much bigger portion then and I sip it slowly so it lasts ages :)
 
Well, I am halfway through day 2 and not feeling too bad. The water is still a pain, I have had 2 litres so far today and will start drinking some more shortly. My aim is to lose weight and get pregnant however I am sure my work colleagues already think I am with my many visits to the loo!

I tried the nut bar today and was surprised to quite enjoy it and am looking forward to trying out another flavour of shake soup - The variety will help keep me interested. Thanks for the tip Jael001, I will use more water tonight for a bigger portion :)

When do people start going into ketosis? I've a headache starting, is that good or bad? xx
 
Day three and I'm still sticking at this. I was asleep by ten last night and woke up feeling great. No headache at all and lots of energy. By about half past twelve though I was feeling very 'muggy' and couldn't concentrate properly. I have been holding off until two for my 1st meal so it's my own fault really, from now on I will eat earlier. I had a tricky day juggling calls of nature with stuff I had to do, I hope my trips to the loo lessen somewhen soon...

I almost forgot my last shake of the day which I didn't think would ever happen, after a soak in the tub I sat down with my water and remembered my chocolate shake sat on the side waiting to be made up. I was pleasantly surprised as I quite liked the chocolate shake, it doesn't seem so popular on here!

I am nervous about the weekend, lots of time at home with all that food about but the weigh in on Tuesday morning should keep me going, I may have a peek at the scales before then to keep me motivated...
