Newbie with a wine craving

Hello ladies
I'm a newbie, 3 times over the last 3 years I have lost between 2 and 3 stone and always regained. My motivation this time is to regain my confidence to start socialising again, I'm also matron of honour for my best friends wedding next June as one bridesmaid is a size 6 and the other is a size 8.. Don't want to look massive in the photos! I've just completed 5 days on attack and lost 8 pounds delighted!! I have to say had no cravings for bread or pasta. But I'm really missing my weekly bottle of Sauvignon blanc. My question is are any of you having some wine I've done some research and it appears to be low in carbs?
So hello to you all and here's to the perfect LBD for all the Xmas parties.

Welcome Pauline, and I look forward to seeing you around the board.

Unfortunately wine contains sugar which is a no no for the Dukan diet.

Good luck!

I used to have a lovely glass of red wine every evening after my bath and before bed. When I started this diet I missed it for a few days but quickly replaced it with 2 cans of coke zeros that I'd popped in the freezer for about an hour. It's not the same, no, but I no longer miss my nightly glass of wine.
Try find an allowable drink to replace your wine with. You really cannot stray on this diet. Alcohol also magically breaks any diet resolve we have and makes us make stupid food choices, no matter how little you've had. Plus, apparently drinking alcohol whilst on this diet gives the worst of the worst hangovers. Don't be tempted, the habit, that's what it is, will soon be broken. Stay with this forum, you'll see how quickly people lose the weight, it's incredibly motivating. You will only kick yourself in June when you look at those wedding photos and have lost nothing, all for the sake of some wine.

My neighbour called over on Saturday night with her wine for chat, so I had a can of coke zero so I think that will be my new tipple

and this new no alcohol policy might well help you consolidate and stabilise your loss in the future...

Well done for breaking a habit. So often it is just that - a habit. Once our friends get used to our being "non drinkers", they stop trying to make us join in with them! Then it all becomes much easier!
