No Bread

Interesting thread. Bread bloats me too, seems quite a common problem.

At the SW class I went to several people mentioned that if they had bread as their HeB more than a couple times a week, they didnt lose any weight that week.

Never thought of a lettuce wrap!! This will really help to stay off bread at work Thanks :)

Pleasure - I LOVE them (and it's an extra bit of superfree just stuck in there, too!) Sweetheart cabbage leaves are also good (steam them a wee bit if they're very tough)

big g sandwich.jpgThis is a sandwich i made today:
A big sandwich that should satisfy any bread related sarnie goodness...

A SW friendly sandwich that involves using your extras from Healthy B and some Healthy A. As made here it totals eight and a half syns, but it is a big chunky sandwich.

120 grams of self sliced wholemeal bread, two really thick slices (6 syns, + healthy extra B)

20 grams of reduced fat cheese (part of healthy extra a)
three slices of lean turkey meat (1.5 syns), can use freshly sliced turkey real breast and it will be no syns.

Cucumber, onions, tomatoes all superfree, remember a third at least of the meal should be from this group.
Extra low mayo 1 level tablespoon (1 syn)
Wholemeal bread bought at co-op, the rest of the ingredients bought at Aldi. I would also recommend the morrisons wholemeal baguette for a more authentic Subway style sandwich, remember to keep an eye on the volume of bread though. 60 grams healthy extra, the rest syned at 1 syn per 10grams of bread.

Looks lovely but nor sure this will help shirleen and others who are trying to stay off bread to stop bloating as per original post!

How nice for you!

How nice for you!

It makes me feel bloated as well, which is why i only have it on rare occasions. This is maybe my fourth sandwich in eleven weeks. But if you must have one do it the SW way...

Bread gives me a terrible time too. Bloated, painful stomach. I try not to eat it very much and it's helped loads. Almost everyone I know has problems with bread. Bread is evil! :flamingmad: haha
