you're eating a hell of a lot of carbs if you don't burn these off they're going to be stored as fat, probably the reason you're not losing.

i'd definately reduce the carbs and introduce some vegetables in there to bulk you're meals up. there is also a lack of protein in there.

cauli is a good one as it doesn't have a strong taste so when put with sauces it's hardly noticable.
i had it cut up small in a bolognaise instead of pasta and it was really filling, and best of all it was zero points.

im the same! i dont really eat much salad or veggies and my losses have been fine i dont see the problem with it to be honest. i mean if you had veggies and salad ur losses might go up a little it just depends on hw u wanna loose x

if you are staying within your points you should lose, but it would be a good idea to get some good carbs from veg, and not forgetting all the vits and nutrients you are missing out on!

Hi all thanks for the replies. I take on board the carbs comment...I will watch that.

Its not as if I never have veggies (I tried that suffed marrow thing the other night, with peppers, onions mushrooms etc.)

I love tomato sandwiches (Iknow I know but I like em)....when I make them from home... BUT Its just I dont have them everyday.

Today I have been shopping, brought a shapers wrap (it was vile), so have survived on a packet of ww crips 2 points and grapes. I have chilli and rice for tea, so I wouldnt put veggies on the side of that...or would you?

Is your weight loss history correct in your signature? If it is your weight loss is anything but slow! 7.5lb in three weeks is an amazing achievement and averaged out is 2.5lb a week which is most definately not to be sniffed at!!

Being a former SWer I dont buy in to the whole "carbs = fat" theory, if you are eating a sensible balanced diet and kleeping within your points then you will lose weight. As you said you are incorporating veg in to your meals, and you are snacking on fruit so its not as though your shunning all fruit & veg completely. Just keep doing what your doing and the weight will keep coming off.

Not quite...I havent had the heart to update :(

at week 5 I stayed the same having lost 10 1/2 lbs, my leader gave me a frown and told me my period was due?! (it wasnt). It sent me on a spin a bit and due to not being well I didnt go last week....its weigh in this week and the scales havent moved! I dont want to give up, but i also dont want to see the look on the leaders face again!!!

I am desperate to stay strong, thank you all for words of encouragement. Wish me luck for tonight arrrgghhh :)

Thats a real shame - she shouldn't have done that, its so discouraging and when you have an unexplained sts you need all the encouragement you can get to dust yourself off and keep going!! And 10.5lb in 5 weeks is still a good loss - she should have been pointing out all you have achieved rather than making you feel like giving up.

    SO DONT GIVE UP!!

Not good of your leader to do that - lots of people may not lose weight in one week for a variety reasons, doesn't necessarily have to be caused by overeating (which you've established you weren't anyway!).

You said you were having chilli for tea - I tend to bulk out most meals with veg - for instance I'm having a pasta dish tonight but I'm going to stick some broccoli in there and maybe some peas. You could always put some carrot in with the chilli? Anything to bulk a recipe up is good in my eyes - most veggies are 0 pps and are filling.

Hope that helps a bit xxx

The only veg I eat is carrots and I don't have them every day, I don't eat salad at all but I've managed to lose. It can be tougher for me as I can't bulk up meals with veg like a lot of people do :(

I've just had the most amazing chilli that had been in slow cooker all day. That was bulked out with carrots, celery, red pepper & of course 2 tins of toms. Nearly my 5 a day & dint taste veggy at all x

a leader should be there to motivate you, not make you not want to go.
stress can also affect you're weightloss.
she should be offering you help and advice to push you through these sticky weeks.

i'd go and see what help she offers you, if she reacts the same again i'd find a different meeting.
